Let's face it, we're not topping Katy Perry in terms of star power. She's the biggest star in the world, literally. I also think that some of the other choices like Archie, Shep, and Morgan Freeman are safe choices, but are dull compared to what we got last year, with Katy Perry trolling the world.

I'm proposing we go in a heavily unorthodox approach to a Guest Picker this year, that brings more to the table than any Guest Picker in history: The Muppets. Technically I'd have Kermit and Miss Piggy be the Guest Pickers, but then just make up a story that all the Muppets followed the two of them there and have taken over the Grove. Just imagine the possibilities: Fozzie and Gonzo as field reporters. The Swedish Chef and John Currance. Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem riding and playing on top of the Double Decker bus. Rowlph playing Dixie. Scooter hanging in the background with Lee Fitting. Animal running through the Grove screaming "Woman, Woman" repeatably.

Just make it as chaotic and archaic as possible. We already showed off the Grove and what it has to offer, now have fun with it. They could be a great asset to showing off Oxford and the Grove. Jim Henson is from MS and there's a new Muppet show debuting on ABC this fall. What would they have to lose doing this?

How could you leave out Statler and Waldorf in the broadcast booth?

I'd have them out in the front row heckling Corso and also carrying heckling Gameday signs.

If we can't get the Muppets, let's get Rae Sremmurd.

Also with the Disney/ESPN theme could go Star Wars. As the movie comes out at the end of the year.

But muppets would be more fun. Not sure if practical though with hiding strings. And it being live TV.

What's the affiliation? I could see Ackbar, but other than that, I can't see it. If they were to do a Star Wars themed Gameday, it would have to be at USC, due to George Lucas going to school there. That would be awesome though.

The Muppets have been on live TV plenty of times. Yeah, we'll see the transparent poles and strings, but it's not really that big of a deal. It's not as if anyone thinks Kermit and co. actually walk around.

Solid points on both accounts.

Meant more for the children or viewer mystic of muppets at home, but I guess this is an adult muppets show anyway.
Still a good idea on your part.

In a way, yes, but the characters are all pretty much perfect in order to utilize Oxford. Piggy is a narcissistic woman who thinks she's much hotter shite than she really is. The Swedish Chef could clash with the most famous chef in the South outside of NOLA. Animal could capitalize on the fact that we have beautiful women. Dr. Teeth has an affiliation with double decker buses. Rowlf can play some of our classical and old timey tunes that are close to our and Henson's heart. It would just completely capitalize on Oxford, make us look good, and be hilarious.

I can't think of a character you couldn't wonderfully utilize with our environment. Hell, they could use the Newsman back at the studio. Could be really good marketing for both us and helping spread the word that the Muppets are back and making likely a great show.

If we somehow got Admiral Ackbar to do it, we would be legendary on College Gameday for having the best guest pickers.

I didn't know how much I wanted this until right this very moment.

ETA: Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker could do a Sports Science segment.

Are you a new rebel fan? If not, you should know not to count your chickens before they hatch... Or in this case, Muppets???
