You cant take a snippet. of that exchange you have to show the whole thing the body language and timing between questions. and his mental state* can only speculate on mental state obviously

Yea maybe he was thinking the reporters were talking about the bong video but it most certainly does not look that way.
Regardless, it's going to force the NCAA hand to do something. Whether that's just more investigation or drumming up some sort of punishment remains to be seen.

I just watched the whole interview on SportsCenter. I was ready to slit wrists before watching it, but I don't think he knew what they were asking. He was sweating bullets, nervous, and had just been through a grueling wait seeing two OTs taken ahead of him.
The second question was "was there an exchange between you and your coach"? He said "I'd have to say yeah". Maybe he meant regarding the bong video??? The next was something like "so are the messages real"? He said "what? Oh those" "yeah, like I said, I made a mistake" possibly once again referring to the bong. He had already said he'd made a mistake in referring to the bong.
If he was not aware of the IG post at that point, it is plausible to assume he was confused by the terminology while thinking they were all discussing the bong vid.

Lady clearly said when she came in...He has not seen the latest messages....This all broke while he was up here.

Is that suppose to be iPhone messages? iPhone imessages don't show the time like that if text are between a couple of minutes and sender name like that atleast that I know of.
