That kinda sucks for Kincade if he had a real shot at playing QB at TCU Freeze should of told him to go. Kincade has to know that hes not going to be the QB. What is making him stay, is Freeze going to make him a situational QB like Brunetti?

Why does he have a "real shot" at playing at TCU? Its not like he's sitting behind a couple of All-Americans at OM. I'm not sure I want OM's third string, soon to be fourth string, QB from OM if i'm TCU.

What makes you so certain he couldn't end up being the starter? Kelly and Buchannon sure throw a lot better than him but with his legs if he could improve his passing game he could easily end up being the starter come week 1. Also it's not like Kelly or Buchannon are all americans.

Kelly is more mobile than Bo was. We are going to have to throw the ball allot to get our running game going, Kincade wont be able to do that. I think Kincade would be allot of fun to watch I just see Kelly winning more games. I don't think Freeze would risk his reputation on a guy like Kelly if he wasn't sure that he would start.

Boykin and Kincade are very similar great legs okay arm. TCU has a better O line to open up designed runs for the QB. Getting consistant QB runs would really help take the pressure off of Kincade having to throw the ball.

What I am trying to say is if we had a better O line any of our QB's could start and be very very successful but, we don't.

That would be really cool. If that happens that means whoever played QB had a really good year.

Quick question......the over arching message that I keep hearing is that we won't be able to replace Bo Wallace next year. My overall opinion is that Bo (who was our best option) was largely average when you account for his knack for turnovers. So, the question is how many games did he carry us to victory versus how many games he carried us to defeat?

Bo Wallace Player Analysis that basically calls him a poor man's Andy Dalton....I am thankful for Bo and all he did, but I definitely think the QB position can be upgraded if not matched.

Well, he stepped up big against LSU in '13 and Bama in '14. He laid a big egg in LSU, Ark, and TCU in '14. He was hurt for most of '13 and the latter part of '14. Funny hearing about how he sucks one minute and then we'll never replace him the next. He was a good Rebal (i'm going to have to stop using that soon or it will become rote), but he's not irreplaceable by any stretch.

I'd say he lost us maybe 4? He was directly responsible for every win he had because without him I'm not sure we beat anybody in the SEC for 3 years except for Vandy last year.

Couldn't agree more. I think the team fed of him in some games. I'll respect forever after his play in the Egg Bowl last year. I mean he stood back in the pocket on a bum ankle and played a damn good game

My favorite talking point you hear from other schools was/is the

A) Bo Wallace is the worst QB in the SEC he can't throw anything but bubble screens.

And now

B) Well they have to replace Bo Wallace I don't think they hav someone that can.

I think all of us know what Bo Wallace. He was a tough as nails gritty trash talking QB that could either single handily win you a game or literally throw the game away. That's just what he was. That's why it was always Good Bo or Bad Bo. Hopefully Kelly (or whoever) gives us a little more consistency

This is true. Everyone liked talking trash about Bo, but they all hated playing against him.

I believe Kelly is more talented than Bo, so if he can put his head on straight and learn the offense we should be equal or better at the QB position.

The offensive line still has to put something together. Tunsil has to be ready to go full speed by the Bama game. If not it could be a long treacherous season for the Rebels.

There is an element of surprise the Rebels are probably holding over the opposition. It could definitely work into their favor.

Once upon a time, Bo was a new qb at OM that needed to learn the system. He went on to have a lot of success his first year and arguable his best year at OM. He had prior experience w/ the Freeze system, but Kelly pretty much does too.

I still haven't gotten a chance to re-watch the spring game and to really analyze the QBs. And I know there were a lot of dropped passes that can factor in the QB competition. That being said I think Kelly impressed me. And think about it, Kelly just got his hands on the playbook. Remember, everything we saw was in the spring game was vanilla. If we get all this talent on the same page and bring up the tempo, special things are gonna happen.

That's a good point. Did Bo Wallace make it to campus for the '12 Spring game or did he just start that summer w/ fall camp?
