I'm so glad we got AJ. He and DK are going to be sick in the same class...

And I'm glad Bama has the 5-stars at DB.

Shea, DK, and AJ will have to show out. And they will.

I don't see why we didn't take a flyer on Clifton Garrett. I think he ended up signing with UAB.

Seriously? The dude that we initial lost to LSU that all the guys on TD said spent more time smoking ciggarretes at bars than in the weight room?

Yeah I would rather try to rehab him than see Taylor Polk take snaps on the field

Also saw where Kain Daub a former 4 star linebacker for FSU was still available.....I'm just saying that we need some linebackers because if Gates gets injured it will be a long season my friend

I could see us offering Daub for depth but he must have really underperformed at that JUCO to get graded that bad by Scout....also think we should toss a Schooly at the Oxford kid that bypassed a dull ride to Duke to walk-on.

Harmon.

Yeah I wish we could get him like a pell Grant and some local scholarships. That would cover his school. Being from the area we can work that out.

And save a scholly for the 5 DL, Db, LB we are going to have to sign next year.

Harmon's Dad played for the Jets. Financially, walking on is not an issue for them which is why he bypassed Duke to stay home.

Daub left FSU for numerous conditioning and disciplinary reasons from what I've found.

Interesting enough John Youngblood was a linebacker in high school. He may be a candidate to move since he is one of our smarter defensive players. They probably won't do it but if Mike Marry can play linebacker, then I'm sure Youngblood can.

Why is he not going all House Bolton on opposing offenses as a LBr then?

Hugh on Linebacker misses
“You could probably say we didn’t get enough depth on the defensive line and maybe at linebacker too. We had a couple of things we knew we could move around so the bullseye was kind of small on the linebackers.

Somebody is getting moved to linebacker it seems, and I don't know Youngblood's 40 time which is probably why he was recruited to be a defensive end.

To say he is raw would be an understatement but the tools are there. He needs to lower his pad level & fire through his hips when tackling. He has speed but can be drop in coverage and cover the middle 1/3 of the field effectively. The same goes with The Brawn but can you imagine either of them playing MLB and letting Gates & Caudwell play OLB? We may be able to stuff power-I teams in the gap routinely.
