It's quite clear that people didn't expect us to finish the season with two wins. They also believe that the 2013 class was something that it is not

People think Hugh sucks, 2013-15 is our peak, Shea will suck, Ole Miss is done with.

There's also a State fan who is trying compare their 2006-2007 victories over Alabama to our back to back wins.

Is it me or does Ole Miss rustle a disproportionate amount of jimmies?

Our success is threatening to the natural order of the SEC and they can't stand it.

Just look who he has beaten in his first 4 years.

Bama (Back to Back)
Auburn- on the road
LSU- 2 out of 4
Tennessee
aTm (back to back)
state (back to back)
Texas- on the road
Boise St.(finished 10-2)

grumblings in T-town.
Malzahn on the hot seat.
Miles had to sing for his job.
Stole bricks one by one from Tennessee.
Since Johnny left, aTm has been dominated by Ole Miss.
Sent the longhorns looking for Saban.
Cost Vandy their coach.

Georgia changed coaches.
Florida upgraded?
Missouri has changed guard.
Even the Ol'ball coach said the hell with it.

Freeze is impacting the recruiting for all these schools.
He is getting players out of Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Bama, Louisiana and Florida.

Really good players.

I think the simple statement below really sums it up pretty well. No, it doesn't mean we have won a championship and no we haven't made it to Atlanta, etc. etc. But two opposing SEC coaches are on record saying "gone are the days when you can just flat out count on the Mississippi schools as being wins you can chalk up." They may be wins they still get as often as not, but they are much harder to come by if at all. Just think, if this were 5 years ago the records of Auburn, LSU, A&M and Alabama would have all been 1-2 games better which would have kept their coaches out of hot water and their fans much closer to happy. It's just that simple. Is Ole Miss ultimately where it wants to be? NO. Can we even get there? Time will tell. But things are certainly on the uptick and very different from what they have been.

Ole Miss is just a consistent season away from a trip to Atlanta. I'm not sure OM could have beaten Florida that particular night as that was just one of those games where the other team is a buzzsaw on that given night. That just happens, even to great teams. However, now that the season is over, it's a little easier to say at least Arkansas and maybe Memphis were cases where the team played down.

I actually think Ole Miss has a real shot at getting to Atlanta, and I also think that some of more controversial PR efforts will actually help recruiting in the end (I know I possibly opened a can of worms there). The money is there, and the will is there. Ole Miss is even becoming a bit of a brand. Having lived outside of the state for so long, Oxford is pretty high on the list of places to catch a game at least once among my football watching friends. There are a lot of Longhorn fans here that would have been fine with that home and home thing becoming a regular thing as they loved coming up. The pieces are all there these days. I don't think I've been able to say that in my lifetime.

What I love is how once RN is gone, we cant replace him, but while he was here, he did nothing.

There is just no gray area with most people on message boards. You are either elite or you suck. Apparently coming in 2nd in the SEC in the polls with the 8th most talented team means you suck. If you cant take the SEC from a more talented Bama team, then you suck. I have long anticipated this 2015 season for years realizing the team would be the much more talented than the 2014 team would be, but I am equally as ready for the 2016 team to show programs that we arent going away.
