Self depricating humor is very theropudic and I highly recommend. It also typically baffles the poster you are arguing with to the point that there are very few responses they can offer that avoid them sounding repetitive or butthurt. Much more effective than clinging to prideful homer arguments which the opposing fanbases on the rant have a stacked deck against you in 80% of the time.
In short, don't take things so seriously. Especially on this cesspool of a site.
