It definitely has opened my eyes into how much blood they want.

But where do they go from here? Whatever these kids tell them they would have to have some sort of proof to mean anything. Ideally you would think that there would be no physical evidence of improprieties from our end if we have any sense, but what if they do? What if they turn over something like text messages that implicate us? At that point we would be screwed but would also probably go scorched earth and use the precedent to use our own players to implicate other schools for the same reasons.

The whole thing would just turn out really badly. It reeks of sour grapes from not turning up more than they did and a lack of forethought of the implications it would put on others.

I'm sick of the whole NCAA facade, from the inconsistent regulation to the student athlete farce. How many more rape and armed robbery cases do we have to see hit the news to realize that our schools are basically fielding minor league teams filled with illiterate morons, thugs, and head cases.

Immunity thing - does anyone think Jeffrey Simmons is going to sit 7 games?

Ole Miss had a single goal at the moment. Put off the NCAA until Chad Kelly's senior season. Mission Accomplished. We are getting ready to roll.

FWIW, the majority of the investigators are Bama and LSU grads.

I hope those players talk. Not only is this grounds for OM to say that we are being targeted unequally, which has resulted in millions of dollars in legal fees, but it also opens the other school for iinvestigation. The immunity that is granted is only partial and only applies to the player, not the school.

I have been doing some thinking. Let's say we start out 4-0. (I know it is unlikely but stay with me with this hypothetical). Do the NCAA investigators get pressure put on them to finish their investigation before the end of Oct. so that they can issue a bowl ban before the end of the season?

It seems like we can put the pressure on the NCAA to wrap up the investigation to screw our chance at a playoff birth or let us have this year and screw us the next 3-4 years.

If we start 4-0 which one would they rather do?

My guess would be that there would have to be a time frame given to make us aware we are on the docket so that we could further prepare our case. If we are 4-0 it's October. Not certain but one would think some time would have to be lrovided.

Lets say we sue NCAA and we get subpoenaed... You think we have to give up every answer we wish not to give? You think we have any control of the narrative? There is a legal back and forth in this.... and EQUAL back and forth. Its not advantageous for the NCAA to be in court....believe me. In court... we have rights too....right now WE CAN"T EVEN DEFEND OURSELVES. There is a reason AUBURN gave the NCAA the double bird fingers and got clean off with buying Cam. They did not play the NCAA games. This is the SECOND TIME Ole Miss has played the NCAA games (first being Brewer) and we know what happened under Brewer. We need to tell the NCAA to Freak themselves...this is OVER. And if you don't stop...then get ready to go to court and litigate this over the next decade or two.

Max Howell is a pretty straight shooter. He's an SEC guy but doesn't seem biased.

Anyone that's not an Ole Miss fan would lose their shite if that's true. My only questions though are if those investigators are off the case, how long have they been off the case? Were the penalties agreed on recently or before draft night? Were they only involved in the first NOA? Were they involved with the current investigation that's going on?

But surely he would be smart enough to think of that or the investigators would be smart enough to say hey they agreed to this but that was before the next wave of stuff hit. Who knows what's true at this point.

We still have not requested to be put on the docket for October. Thus no chance for our season ending after we beat MSU 60-7. Freeze and Chad are bowling again.
