If that FG doesn't go in, everyone on this board would be melting over the decision making of CHF.

I'm not letting him off the hook. SP saved his arse last night. And coincidentally, Pellerin did as well when he fumbled. But it should not be forgotten just how poorly play calling was handled until SP was in 100% of snaps.

Show me some progression next week.

Also, as it pertains to the defense, I applaud their effort.

Womack still needs to go.

I will not. This season has been fricking unbearable. I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this win and the emergence of Shea. We deserve it.

But, I 10000% agree on Wommack

I don't think I would have been melting if we missed the kick. It was obvious Shea has the "it" factor. At the very least it provided some hope for next season. Freeze made the right call.

Agreed. Pellerins fumble hurt but ultimately did us a favor

Not only is Shea the better passer... he seems like the more dangerous runner as well

If we continue to put in Pellerin I'll be convinced it's because we are trying to prove that he has a role on the team next year

I'll enjoy the win as well. It's great. Hyuge.

But I will not put blinders on because of it. There are a multitude of reasons why this season has been "fricking unbearable," and they haven't changed because we have a phenom QB. Less you forget the one he just replaced.

Patterson is also a much better runner than Kelly. He is much shiftier it appears and he obviously is great at throwing on the run, something Kelly struggled with. As for running a bunch of zone read with Patterson, that would make me highly nervous. We don't need any big shots on him.

So much of this season has been injuries. Fado was injured. Conyers and Rawlings shouldn't be playing. Sims and Taylor have been playing hurt. Wilkins out due to academics. Swinney out again. Webster out. CJ Moore out. Youngblood out. Metcalf out. This team has been decimated with injuries.

The injuries have killed this team and if Tony Conner had been his old self this defense might have been average enough for this Offense. We just need a middle of the pack SEC defense and this team would have won against Florida State, Alabama, and Auburn.

I don't agree. Regardless if we had won the game, I think it was the right decision to pull the shirt. Shea isn't staying 5 years regardless.

I didn't say it was the wrong decision. It was a risky one that paid off.

And for all of you spouting the injuries line can spare me. Everyone has injuries. What we don't have is depth at key positions.

I think you have to trust that Hugh knows what he had in his QB in that situation because he has seen him all year in practice. I think that's why he knew on Sunday that Shea would be playing.

Look around the country everyone not named Bama has flaws on their team. Honestly I haven't been impressed with anyone outside of Bama this year. At the start of the year if you told me Webster and Fadol would miss a lot of games this year I wouldn't like our chances on defense. Injuries happen and we have had the worst luck with them this year.

Last night showed that we won despite Hugh Freeze.

- His play-calling was awful
- Wommack still sucks - the defense played well because they cared once Patterson showed promise, not because wommack did anything
- Special teams still sucks
- Mute Hugh Freeze's headset when we get to the red zone
- Fire most of the defensive staff

Can you see it? Can you feel it? The potential Ole Miss has with Patterson at the helm?
We can't let Hugh squander it by getting complacent with the staff due to this win and any other.

Now is the time to take the next step in becoming an elite SEC team. It starts by getting SEC caliber coaches.

I think you're all grossly missing the point I was trying to make.

I just don't want the fan base to go full on "journey, truth, RISE UP, etc." and forget that changes still need to be made.

Had we lost last night, there's no doubt in my mind that there would be rumblings of a full on cleansing of the staff. Freeze included.

Again, SP has seemingly brought on temporary blindness in some of you.

Agree and disagree. Agree because SP can't afford to take big hits because he isn't built like Jalen Hurts. Disagree because the QB running adds a huge element to this offense where the D can't just focus on the RB. All the QB needs to do is take the ball a couple times a game to keep their DEs/OLB honest, get 3-5 yards and slide down.

What was refreshing was to see Fadol Brown back to his old self. Regrdless of what you think about Youngblood and his heart and effort, there's just no comparing the two. Fadol had a terrific game last night and was a big part in that 2nd half defense.

I just rewatched the game and stand behind my statement that' last night was the worst called game (predominantly the first half) that I can remember as an Ole Miss fan. From O to D to special teams, it was mind blowing. He tried his damnedest to lose that game and it proved again how badly we need some legit O & D coordinators to help him with in game decisions. Oh, and special teams....holy shite are they bad. We need someone with half a brain to take that role on before it costs us anymore games.

I'm excited to see this team under Shea, but the big road win does not blind me to the fact we are in serious need of help. If anything that game was absolute proof at how poorly our coaching decisions can be.

100% agree about the play calling. Left a ton of points on the board because of the Pellerin package. The defense in the first half proved once again how horribly they are coached, play calling wasn't very far behind either.

Just hope the 2nd half doesn't save Wommack. Shea won last night despite everything around him. Dropped passes, bad snaps, bad coaching, etc. Inspiring to see how we rallied in the second half, more so the fourth quarter, but changes still have to happen.

Truth is without Trevor Knight A&M isn't that good, but we really needed this win to gain some confidence. Should win out now

Yep, completely agree. Also, A&M lost to State who might be one of the worst teams in college football. They are not very good.

If any sunshine pumper tells me to enjoy the victory (I am by the way) and says I'm exaggerating, I'd beg them to watch the first half and focus on coaching. No one in their right mind could call that even mediocre. It was just awful.
