I go to elitedawgs for my morning laughs. You would think that we were the Russians in Rocky IV or that Hugh Freeze was Hitler reincarnated.

Talk about hatred...

quote:

At this point, I don't want the Bears to get the Death Penalty I want the NCAA to stretch it out over a long time. NOA part 1: 40 over 5 NOA part 2: 40 over 5 Bury them for 10-15 years. I think the culture of corruption over a long time, justifies it.

quote:

I'd love it if they got the death penalty. Mainly because I think the SEC would have to seriously consider booting them. That would make us THE program in MS and completely change our future. After all the shite they have pulled over the years, it would be true justice.

And how "little brother" is this?

quote:

I do. If Ole Miss gets the death penalty (very unlikely, but this is a hypothetical), it breaks the wheel of football in Mississippi. We'll be the undisputed top dog in Mississippi (even if Ole Miss manages to stay in the SEC, which I would doubt) and will rise to a top tier program. If Ole Miss only gets penalties but keeps playing, we may be on top of the wheel a little longer than usual, but it will spin back eventually and keep spinning like it has for decades.

Well, Ole Miss getting the death penalty is the ONLY way that could EVER happen. So I guess I see why they'd want that to happen. Little bro always gonna be little bro.

80 over 10 years seems about right given our culture of corruption seems a bit light.

Those crazies actually think that the death penalty is on the table. Our NOA wouldn't come close to that, even if we did outright pay for players. SMU was blatantly cheating and did it despite penalties.

We will be incredibly fortunate if the NCAA accepts our self imposed penalties.

Not necessarily. Our proposed penalties were based off precedents and guidance from the NCAA. We essentially are basing our proposals on what they want to hear.

Now if the new investigation turns up something new, then of course that would change things. But if not (and by all accounts, nothing seems to have bubbled up), then I don't expect much more, if any, to be added to our penalties.

ULL's self imposed penalties were accepted, and our case is very similar, with a few more minor things

Eta: think I misunderstood your quote. Yes, we would be lucky if all we got were our self imposed penalties out of all this. But I don't think it would be luck if the NCAA accepts them. Does that make sense?
