I'm more worried about sanctions coming and giving players a right to transfer immediately without losing a year..I'll take Fleck as well

Ya'll can pretend we ain't getting hammered, but the players know better. Freeze looked like he was on the 2nd day of a 3 day bender.

Beginning of this season, I swore Freeze could never get fired. Wommack will be his Achilles heel. He is done if Wommack isn't canned. Bring in Les if Freeze won't fire Wommack

Is it too late to jump in on the Tom Herman bidding war?

The beta males running the show won't even try to get any of these candidates. They'll go hire some Sun Belt fricktard and we'll wish we never made that stadium expansion come next year because they don't have any balls or drive to compete. They'd get some patsy who will roll over and be a yes man. The first item on his agenda will be fluffing the NCAA to make sure they're good and hard to frick us even harsher on round two of the investigation.

We aren't firing freeze. But that aside, if I'm a program looking for a new coach Fleck would probably be at the top if my list. Young, can recruit extremely well, hires good coordinators and stays out of their way

I'm far from ready to fire Freeze, but something has to be done. Inaction is unacceptable. In the beautiful words of Clay Travis, "if you want to be a big dick program you have to act like a big dick program." While I don't trust Freeze with this task, I do trust Bjork.

I'm not sure if he'd leave Virginia Tech yet, but Justin Fuente would be really high up on my list if for some reason the job becomes available.

Are there any candidates from the NFL that aren't currently being successful at that level but have a proven track record in SEC/NCAA?

Edit: I'm talking about Wommack's position (not Freeze).

Question; If the NCAA and Barney stuff gets worse, can Freeze recover? He'll be perceived as an unethical cheater and lose his recruiting schtick of "Come here and I'll raise your boys in a Christian family atmosphere". That's gone. The cheating, drug pictures, etc. it won't work anymore with the momma's, and we might have a lame duck on our hands. The blind eye excuse won't work in the court of public opinion. The CEO's take the good and the bad when it happens, that's why they're paid so much is because of the high risk/reward involved.

At some point you have to see if your guy making millions will take us to the next level. Ex: Strong at Texas. He hasn't had a long time to prove himself, but its apparent he's not the guy who will ever take them to the next level. The fans know it, the admins know it, and as evidenced by his post game presser, he knows it. When do we consider a clean sweep to wipe the slate and start rebuilding our reputation all over again? Can Freeze shake the talk and ever recover, even with a new staff in place?

I'm not so sure anymore...

Losing, particularly the way we lost last night, will make you question everything. No doubt about it.

If we get hammered, Freeze better make sure he makes a good hire at DC and we improve greatly next year. Will need to go at least 9-3. Shouldn't be hard with Shea and the rest of the offense. Guarantee if we keep Wommack or get another lame duck DC and have a season like this year, plus get hammered, Freeze's seat will be in fire.

As far as recruiting goes, if he can claim ignorance we'll be fine with Freeze. I still believe even if he takes a character hit, he works hard enough on the recruiting trail that'd he'd be able to recover.

But "getting hammered" makes pulling off a great hire quite difficult.

Do yourself a favor... Start slowly tempering those expectations as soon as you read this and you'll be a lot better off this time next year.

Return so many players. Schedule isn't nearly as difficult. There should be improvement.

The guy just took us to a GD sugar bowl you redneck idiots. We don't have any fricking talent on defense and a shite load of injuries on offense.

There will be a new DC but stop talking out of your arse.

They have to be 20 or younger if they wanna fire freeze. Coach O, Nutt and even Cutcliffe couldn't accomplish what freeze has done even if they all worked together.
