Who would you start Friday against Maryland? Bramlett or Trent? I can see the argument for both ways. If you go with Bramlett and win, then you get Trent vs a lefty heavy UCLA lineup that does much better against RHP. However if Bramlett isn't on and we lose then you have Trent likely going against a 4 seed on Saturday. It's interesting and we all know Bianco will probably stick to his guns and throw Trent. The way I see it, we're a 30-26 team on the road @ the #1 national seed, and you have to coach to win the regional, not just one game. I throw Bramlett vs the Terps and hope he's got his good stuff. IMO, it just makes sense if you're trying to take down the #1 seed. Thoughts?

ETA: just saw that the Maryland HC has been suspended for 2 games for being ejected in the Big 10 tourney. That certainly can't hurt the Rebel's chances.

To me, Bramlett has been as good, if not better that Trent. I wouldnt mind seeing him go the first game. Either way makes sense.

I would go Trent then Brady, but that's just me. It'll be interesting to see what CMB does but I'm guessing he sticks with the match ups as usual.

I wouldn't mind seeing Brady throw game 1 just for a chance to put your best lefty up against UCLA. Especially since there's not that much of a difference between the two in terms of overall ability.

I wouldn't be upset with either though, Bianco has been burned trying to switch for matchups in the past so I can understand why he wouldn't do it.

I think Weathersby is the most likely to throw a shut out. I hate to admit it, but I think that's what we have to have to beat Shawaryn.

Bianco will stick to his guns though, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I would pitch Weathersby vs Maryland. Bramlett vs UCLA and Trent in the 3rd game.

That kind of negates the reason for this argument. The only reason you save Trent for UCLA is because it's a heavy L/L match up.

I say save Weathersby for game 3. If you somehow luck up and go 2-0, then youve got him pitching in the championship. If you lose one of the first two, then youve got him pithing us into the championship

I'd go with Brady on Friday and Trent on Saturday. That's my opinion, though.

I'll be okay with whatever Mike chooses to do. The pros and cons of each choice are about equal.

Not only that, but I think he deserves it.

Throw the best you got. Maryland has an Ace. Deal with game 2 when you get there.

As he should. I don't even see the debate.
