I love this Ole Miss team, but I still believe the 2012 team that beat Mississippi State to become Bowl Eligible and advance the Birmingham Bowl against Pitt, was my favorite. After all, in 2011 Ole Miss had gone 2-10 and the program was in shambles. When Hugh Freeze took over as Head Coach at Ole Miss in 2012, Ole Miss had 30-40 players who were on the verge of being academically ineligible. Not only did Freeze right the ship in the classroom immediately, he signed a Top-5 recruiting class and three #1 players. That season, Ole Miss would go on to finish 7-6 and win their Bowl game in Birmingham, AL.

This group of juniors and seniors has been really fun to watch and will always be highly regarded and thought of by the Ole Miss faithful. They may not have reached their ultimate goal that they had set forth from Day 1--an SEC Championship and a National Championship--but they were one 4th & 25 away from going to the SEC Championship. That, however, does not take away from what an awesome season 2015 was for the Ole Miss Rebels. With a New Year's Six Bowl (The Sugar Bowl) looking more and more likely, this team and group of coaches has taken Ole Miss into uncharted territory--they have become ELITE.

Although the Senior and Junior classes (those who are leaving early through the draft) did not win a Championship, what they did at Ole Miss from 2012-2015 will be felt long after they have gone. They have left the program in great hands and have made Ole Miss relevant on a national level. With a 2016 recruiting class that is expected to be in the Top-5 nationally, Ole Miss future looks even brighter. Ole Miss fans can thank Hugh Freeze and the Rebels 2013 recruiting class for that.

This is what bothers me. Bad coaching at Memphis and soft defense at Arkansas held us from a SEC Championship game.

Either way.

I'm excited for next year. I think I already like Speaks more than Nkraken. If Tony stays the defense will be in better shape. We have amazing receivers, but they need to learn to block like Treadwell. We NEED TO LAND LITTLE, if not, we will have problems protecting the future Heisman winner Kelly.

A big part of what has to happen is maturity as a program. This is why CHF was the coach for Ole Miss. He's not going anywhere and as he builds this program. He will grow and learn as a coach.

He's not perfect, but nobody is, and who was the last coach that beat Bama back to back years?

We gonna be aite.

We were 7-6 that first year, brah, not 7-5.

But what I love is that Freezus is .500 or better against every team in the West, and has defeated every team he's played at least twice.

I agree. But someone please tell him teams can mount a comeback and he needs to just kill them rather than let them live to fight more.

This is what's impressive

Now we have to grow as program.. Learn how to run from the front... Cause we just havent been able to the last 2 years.

Ehh, we did this year. We were a fluke 4th and 25 from winning the SEC. We beat every team in the West if that ball doesn't bounce the way it did. I mean, what are the odds it bounces that way? 1 in 50,000?

We beat @Bama, LSU, and @Auburn...and MSU on the road. That seems like running from the front.

Memphis was our only let down. While we deserved to lose the Arky game because of our pathetic defensive showing, we won that game. That may have been the most fluke play I've seen in an OM game.

You sound like a gump after the Bama game. "We gave y'all five turnovers" or "that tipped pass..." or any other bullshite that they made an excuse out of.

We in no way, shape or form won that game.

I agree with this, we didn't lose on that play. We lost every time we let the Arkansas offense drive down the field.

You don't deserve to win if the opponent doesn't punt after the first quarter.
