I have seen many of you on here say that Ole Miss is his dream job and he grew up an OM fan.

My question is, if he was such a big OM fan why did he go to college at Soutgern Miss?

I saw one person answer this question once saying he wanted to major in Coachibg and OM didbt offer it. I looked at Freeze's bio and he majored in mathematics, which I'm sure that OM offers.

That just made me rethink him going to Southern Miss.

I think he's doing a good job and is a heck of a coach and wish y'all the best of luck vs Bama.

Didn't he play baseball there?

Not sure, may be thinking of someone else.

I can't answer your question completely, but he played baseball at Southern Miss so my guess is maybe that Ole Miss either didn't offer him a scholarship or less of one than Southern Miss. No inside knowledge or anything, just my own theory.

I live in Hattiesburg, and have some friends who played at Southern and they said he didn't play at Southern Miss. Also no Hugh Freeze in the USM baseball media guide letterman list.

Oh, well never mind then. I guess I have no idea why he went to Southern, but it doesn't make much difference to me now.

He grew up in Independence, MS and then went to Northwest CC... Probably ready for a change of scenery.

Just tweet at him and or email him and ask him if you want an answer that isn't a guess.

I just found out I'm going.

I wonder how much tickets will be outside of the stadium?

I graduated from USM. I was born and raised in Oxford. As much as I loved the place, I wanted to get as far away as a could from my parents and grow up on my own.

I'm sure it probably was just the same thing with him. It also could have been money as well.

Tuition at all state universities are all very close in range. USM doesn't cost much different.

I wish the private high schools in Mississippi were as cheap as the universities.

Well this is a misleading blanket statement. Depending on what local grants and scholarships you can get, costs can differ all over the state.

For instance, the Sumner grant pays over half of tuition at Ole Miss, 1/4 or less at MSU, and USM doesn't accept it.

Just an example. We all know Hugh Freeze dislikes OM and can't wait to get out.
