My answer is yes. Get out and don't squander your talent.

I'll hang up and listen Paul.

Absolutely. I want to have him but at the same time, I don't want to see a kid with his talent waste his career at a dumpster fire with lazy as shite teammates who don't care if we win or lose.

I'd hate to see it, but you can't blame him if he did.

He could sit out a year and play for Tennersee's new coach - Hugh Freeze.

Or sit out and try to beat out Myles Brennan and play for LSU's new coach - Mike Leach.

I felt bad for him when I realized Alabama had a former NFL OC calling plays on their sideline compared to Phil fricking Longo

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but if there's a two-year bowl ban nobody has to sit out a year upon transferring.

I'm sure shea came to college on a three-year plan. Transferring would nix that (unless the ncaa lets OM players transfer without sitting out, in which case there will be a mass exodus).

Then again, it would take a leap of faith that the next staff could have him nfl ready in a year, so maybe that doesn't matter.

Transfer or not, we still win/lose the same amount of games the next two years. No QB in the country could be successful at this shithole with our coaches and these players. So, frick it. I don't care if he does, and it's probably the right decision for him.

Selfishly, i hope he doesnt, but I wouldnt hold it against him if he did. Same situation as Cam Akers for me. I hate that he didnt come here, but I 100% understand why he didnt

Only way he should stay is if we somehow avoid a 2 year ban, AND hire an actual offensive mind to coach the offense. A mike leach type that has more than 20 plays. Either of those 2 don’t happen he gone.

To answer your question, yes. However, he's really not that good. He's not an accurate passer and makes poor decisions. His fundamentals need work.

Granted he is running for his life.

I would agree if the pocket didn't collapse almost every single snap. I do think that he's not an elite player (yet), but I firmly believe that he would be if he had a better offensive line.

Not sure if serious. This O-Line will get him killed, and he's a true sophomore. He missed lodge on a deep ball, but really what else could he have done last night?

Better hire a big time coach or he and AJ are gone.

This is what sucks about waiting for sanctions to drop. How do you hire a big name if it's more than a 1 year bowl ban? This becomes even more difficult if UT, LSU, Arkansas & A&M are all looking for coaches at the same time. So it's basically an impossible task.

That being said, most of the players AJ's caliber probably just want to get to the league. Winning a Birmingham bowl is just extra.

I doubt LSU or Tenn is changing coaches.

Tenn has looked bad, but its remaining schedule is soft. It can still win seven games, with a chance at 8. Plus Jones has a big buyout.

Eaux has an even bigger buyout - $12 million! They're already paying Miles $9 million to not coach. The AD will be the fall guy for this season.

To pay those buyouts, the schools would need to have a super sexy candidate to step in, and there isn't one on the market atm. Maybe Chip Kelly, but I don't see him as a fit.

Your point is taken, though. Regardless of who has openings, it will be tough to attract a quality coach with the state of the program now.

That's great... but should Shea transfer or stay?
