Looks like Deli News closed in 2011. I know it was there from 05-08 while I was in town. LINK
Nothing beats a Pizza Den roast beef though.

I was way off. I could have sworn it was gone shortly after my time (04-08) began

I am pretty sure it went out of business in 2009. I'm damn positive it went out of business before I graduated (2010).

Where else in Mississippi can you get a Stromboli on par with Pizza Den?

Think Deli nNews closed in 12. Owners had health issues. Used to provide them herbal supplements.

Umm Oxford has a place on par or better. I'm telling you 6 N Tubbs on West Oxford Loop has the best Stromboli I've ever had outside of NYC.

They're completely different style 'bolis. Both are fantastic.

I used to tear up the Neapolitan from 6 N Tubbs when I was still in Oxford. And, those damn pepperoni poppers were on point. This was all when Dennis and his mom still ran it (I believe he sold it and opened a bagel place). It was always $20 cash for a pie that wouldn't even fit in the box.

I almost went to 6 N Tubs once. But they had a cash only sign so I went somewhere else.

You missed out. Everything is great there and if you were lucky, Dennis would give some free appetizers if you were waiting.
