Ok so I know it was UT Martin and I know it can be hard to judge anything really from this game, but I know in years past our offense has really stalled out when the run game couldn't produce. How much better do yall think our rushing attack will be? I know we played scrubs but 338 net rushing yards is pretty exciting to look at on a stat sheet. Does Fresno have a decent run defense where we can get a better judgement of this?

Week 3 will end up being a pretty good place to start judging our rushing attack

At Ole Miss, Hugh Freeze is 16-0 (3-0) when we run for 200+ yards.

You're completely correct.

Fresno State allowed 201.9 rushing yards per game last season and returns 6/11 starters from their 2014 defense. In their only game this fall, against Abilene Christian, the Bulldogs gave up 34 rushing yards on 29 carries.

I expect us to eclipse the 200-yard barrier this weekend.

Indeed.

They have a stout front seven and limited us 76 yards on 32 carries last fall.

Basically, we need at least 120 to beat Alabama this year and keep the heat off of Chad.

Our O line is so much better this year. I believe we can eclipse 100 against Bama

I think if Tunsil is back, and we run the ball to the outside and not try to run straight up the middle like Wisconsin did we will be fine. The interior is a real strength for Bama. I don't see why one would continue running at it.

I expect the HUNH with alot of bubble passes to keep Chad in a groove and use it as a substitute for the run. Bama "weakness" on defense is the secondary. I expect the back shoulder throws to both Quon and Stringfellow. Its a extremely tough route to defend.

While watching on what felt like the surface of Mercury Saturday a the Vaught (why do we play day games in September?) I thought more than once that I won't be sold on the OM running game until they can put a decent amount of yards against good SEC competition. It's just that simple. Furthermore, that's gonna be difficult if Tunsil isn't available and Taylor isn't effective.

I think Taylor is just a backup plan and Cooper will stay at LT. Conyers would move to RT and Still at center with Taylor and Patterson at guards. Morris and Bell would be backup guards with Morris and Bouldin as swing guys.

Personally I don't see any scenario where Tunsil doesn't play. I just don't see Ole Miss self imposing its best player on the bench for such a huge game, regardless of the allegations.

Neal said yesterday he was 75% sure Tunsil would play in Tuscaloosa but today he's closer to 25%. Didn't specify exactly why I don't think.

Can we trust any of these pay board types anymore? they have very little info on recruiting unless they talk to a recruit directly. Why should we believe he has some kind of inside source?

It's a little different bc this isn't a recruit but an actual player on the team. They will freely tell anybody they don't know what's going to happen anymore than anybody else but they have more inside info than anybody not on the inside. They don't know anything for sure but they have as an informed opinion as you can have.

Do we think Kelly gets to do the read option more than we did last year? We didn't do it much last year and the running game suffered.
