16 scholarships over 4 years with a 3 year probation
So in year 4 we'll be playing with 69?

Each scholarship is off the board for 4 years? So does that mean that if we spanned this over 4 years it would look like:
Year 1 4
Year 2 8
year 3 12
year 4 16
year 5 12
year 6 8
year 7 4
year 8 back to 85
If so, that will suck arse. Rip the band aid off.

So I saw where Tunsil says he's coming back to Oxford for the Summer to work out. I'm probably being a tad bit optimistic, but I would think that is a good thing. I would think if there's more to those texts that Freeze would reach out to Sexton and have him advise Tunsil to stay away from Oxford. Again, this might be me stretching a bit, but I find it hard to believe if the Tunsil situation really screws us that he would want to be in Oxford and have to deal with all the negative attention.

Schollies are 1 yr commitments, so there isn't rollover.
You're essentially deducting 4 from 85 each year, for 4 yrs. Thereby, after 4 yrs, you will have been penalized 16 scholarships ("16 over 4") though you never dipped below 81 for a given year
Year 1: 85 - 4 = 81
Year 2: 85 - 4 = 81
Year 3: 85 - 4 = 81
Year 4: 85 - 4 = 81

4 yrs. (-16)
*That's a best case scenario assuming full roster with no attrition, juniors leaving early for draft, etc, but you get the point. Not a devastating penalty by any means, just gives us less room for error

Are you sure about that?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's typically how it's done. The penalty is taken off the 85 number, not the 25 signing class number, but the reductions are shown in the signing class unless the coaches want to start cutting kids already on the roster (which they won't).
In other words, they could sign a full class, but would have to cut players already on the team to get to 81
-or-
Sign a smaller class to get to 81
From the ESPN article: (this is referencing our proposed 11 reduction, not 16)

In a 154-page response to the NCAA, Ole Miss announced that it had self-imposed the loss of 11 total scholarships in football over a four-year period from 2015-18, including a reduction of three initial scholarships in each of its next three recruiting classes, which would allow the school to sign a maximum of 22 players in each class

Thanks. I hope that's how it works, and I also hope that we started the scholarship reductions this year. How many were we short?

Prepare for a hit piece from forde right before media days.

Is the Forde piece what all the Grinders talking about and if so why would Forde tip his hands to verified leg humpers?

I read this some thing like this on some msg board or twitter.. dont recall
Hope our staff is on top of this, and prepared.
These calculated media strikes and this social media age where people jump on a story without facts and baseless claims.
Freeze getting attacked on his tweets constantly with false and negative claims.

Apparently it contains interviews with people that either didn't come to Ole miss or that left Ole miss.
Even if whatever is in the article is true...it's still shitty, sensationalized journalism. If you have the story right now, there's no reason to sit on it unless you're just being a complete dick.
