Were they employed at ole miss at the time they lied? How does that affect us if not

So based on the summary, I'm not sure why everyone thinks we're going down in flames. That shite wasn't even that bad and it looks like we've done nothing but comply with the NCAA the whole time. The only liars aren't even on our staff anymore.
Seriously, what's the big deal?

My thoughts exactly.
I've seen where folks are claiming Freeze and Bjork insinuated the penalties occurred with the prior staff, but I don't remember that. Maybe someone that has followed it more closely than I have has a link.
ETA: Mainly media on twitter with the insinuations

I am hearing 12 over 4 and 9 over 3 which is it?
Posted on 5/27/16 at 1:29 pm to Landmass
Okay good I was a little worried. We just cant have any big bust like a Bledsoe.
Posted on 5/27/16 at 1:40 pm to WithaRebelYell
Well, now Chuck is saying it's 11.
1 this year, 2 next year, and 4 each of the following two years.

So we can take 24 in 2017, 23 in 2018 and 21 in 19 & 20?
Posted on 5/27/16 at 1:45 pm to WithaRebelYell
Or does this have to do with the 85 scholarships?
Posted on 5/27/16 at 1:50 pm to WithaRebelYell
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have never heard of imposing sanctions on the number of official visits. Schollys, obviously.
I think limiting the number OVs is a little ridiculous, no?

That has to do with the 85 total scholarships. The 9 over 3 relates to signing classes
Posted on 5/27/16 at 2:56 pm to Less Cowbell
No because a lot of the violations occurred on official and unofficial visits. A lot of illegal transportation and feeding.
Posted on 5/27/16 at 3:14 pm to SwayzeCrazy
Oh my God we provided transportation and fed them! Oh God please forgive us we deserve so much worse. I mean what kind of sick program feeds people?

All of these journalist tweeting and comparing the situation at Baylor and Ole miss is outrageous.
That kind of shite should not be tolerated. Two things happen on the same weekend so we need to tie them together... They should issue apologies from the editors who are letting that slide. That's belittleling rape and cover ups of rape.
As if providing lodging, transportation, rental car, ( former staff setting up ACT testing) and food to students is the same thing as a systemic rape cover Up?!
Really Really?

I don't see how any of what was included equated to wins on the field.
Posted on 5/27/16 at 3:35 pm to WithaRebelYell
Yeah I don't agree with it, but it is the rules.
I mean we got busted for feeding some kid $5 worth of food. I guess we made a stop at McDonald's.
