Where ever our guys land, there is a good chance they make it in the NFL. Check out this analysis:

If I counted correctly 4 players recruited by Houston Nutt while at OM have been drafted: Bolden, Massey, Donte and Senquez.
Two since Hugh got here. Maybe 1 more next year with CJ.
So in 4 (3.5) recruiting classes Nutt recruited 5 potential draftees. That's depressing.

That's what happens when all you care about is winning the press conference by paying the recruiting websites to hype your recruits.

If you count the ones that fricked their careers up like brassell, the number would be higher for Nutt

But you don't count those.

Houston was more of a developmental coach anyway

How much is attributed to coaching as opposed to recruiting though? Do you think Freeze is going to be a guy who produces a lot of NFL talent or one that is more tailored to the college game? Hard to put whether or not guys are drafted on Nutt, he hasn't coached them much, if at all.
Obviously guys like Robert and Laquon aside, because their fate has basically been determined since high school.

Well for starters the two Nutt classes that were just eligible to be drafted had half of their members lost to attrition. On top of that you know see only recruit guys because of their stars duh

I think it speaks to how little talent Hugh has had. Nutt recruited several dudes that should of had easy paths to the draft but half of those classes were lost to attrition. He basically left Hugh with 4 noteworthy players (Senquez, Cody, Donte and CJ), and he (hugh) made chicken salad out of chicken shite. Which was my original point about the lack of draftable players.

To answer your question, no, I don't think if Mullen had taken over our roster we would of had more than 2 players drafted.

What'd I do this time?

I worked for basketball for two years in college, and Nutt and his staff would come to the gym for about two hours and play pick-up games at least three days a week. He basically just collected a check because Lord knows those two hours could have been spent recruiting.
