I admit I don't know a thing about them other than they still play in the big 12 and that one of my co-workers said their starting qb had surgery on his foot after the Baylor game. Anybody know how well we match up with them and what to expect?

They average 41.2 points per game.
They have one of the best passing offenses in the Big XII.
They're not the best running team.

Their scoring defense is atrocious for SEC standards: 29.0 points per game.
They have a decent pass defense.
Their rushing defense is suspect.

I just pulled it from cfbstats.com.

They play two quarterbacks, one of whom runs a bit (J.W. Walsh, which is a great Big XII quarterback name).

They've given up 300+ on the ground in consecutive weeks (to Baylor and OU).

We are running the ball much better down the stretch (post-Tunsil). As an early analysis, I'd expect us to pound the rock with Judd, Walton, and Kelly.

Since Tunsil returned, we've put up the following on the ground:
A&M: 230
Auburn: 156
Arkansas: 222
LSU: 152
State: 243

Average: 200.6

We allow 22.8 points per game.

They've played two defenses allowing less than 22.8 points per game. In those games, they've scored:
24 (Central Michigan)
23 (Oklahoma)

We score 40.3 points per game.

They've played ____ offenses allowing more than 40.3 points per game. In those games, they've allowed:
58 (Oklahoma)
53 (Texas Tech)
45 (Baylor)
29 (TCU)

They can pass the ball. That worries me, as their passing numbers generally fall in line with those from Memphis.

I seem to remember some stat that Freeze had won every game in which we rushed for more than 130 yards (or thereabouts). If I'm remembering right, Arkansas was the first game Freeze has lost when we had a good rushing game.

That game was an outlier in a lot of ways.

You're correct about the 200-yards rushing and how it correlates to wins for the Rebals: we're 20-1 when we run the ball for 200+ yards under Hugh Freeze.

The biggest outlier to me was the fact that WE COULDN'T GET OFF THE GOD DAMN FIELD AND COULDN'T STOP A SINGLE frickING PASS.

They showed tired legs, that's all. It was their 10th game in a row.

I'm more concerned about our secondary getting violated.

We allow 255.1 yards per game through the air, good for 101st in the nation. We've allowed 23 passing TDs this fall, the most in the SEC. Yet, we've picked off 15 passes, more than all but two teams Okie Lite has played.

Their passing game is about to light up our secondary. Hopefully we can be rested and play well.

They've allowed 29 sacks on 472 pass attempts. Conversely, we've allowed 17 on 454 pass attempts.

Yards per game is a bad stat. We're allowing only 6.3 yards per attempt, good for 23rd in the nation.

(Oklahoma State's giving up 7.4 ypa, tied for 83rd.)

ETA: We're giving up 3.41 yards per rushing attempt, tied for 12. Oklahoma State: 4.16; 57).

FWIW, we're #7 in F/+, while OSU is #29.

Our opposing passer efficiency rating is not bad, a little above average.

Is their offensive as pedestrian as statistics indicate?

Considering we've only played 3 good passing teams all season, this means very little to me.
