So who is in charge for this? Bjork, UMAA, Archie, Vitter?

I'd rather have a team looking rather than just Bjork.

I don't know but we could let monster.com handle it and we would come out with better coaches than we have...

The more I look at Frank Brown's teams, the More I want the guy.

His teams play hard on defense and his offense looks damn good too.

Video below if you haven't seen his teams.

I'll feel better when Luke is actually gone... and Longo since his offense is garbage... and at this point McGriff too because his defense isn't worth shite

The TE on UTSA, Shaq Williams, is a Madison Central grad and is rated as one of the best in the nation.

McGriff has impressed me a little. He's doing the best he can with our talent deficiencies on defense. If the new coach decided to keep him as coordinator I wouldn't mind it one bit.

The UTSA DC actually has more experience than McGriff as a DC but i wouldn't mind if we kept him either; supposedly he is a good recruiter. UTSA DC is pretty young:

Pete Golding is in his second season as UTSA’s defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach.

In his first season with the Roadrunners, he helped lead the program to six wins and its first-ever bowl game, the 2016 Gildan New Mexico Bowl. His defense set several school records, including single-season standards for tackles (934), tackles for loss (77), sacks (27) and quarterback hurries (38). Individually, linebacker Josiah Tauaefa broke UTSA's season record for tackles with 115 en route to becoming the program's first Freshman All-American (Football Writers Association of America) and collecting Conference USA Freshman of the Year and first-team all-conference honors. Defensive end Marcus Davenport and safety Michael Egwuagu were named second-team all-conference and safety Jordan Moore was honorable mention.

Golding came to the Alamo City following a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Southern Miss, where he coached the safeties. The Golden Eagles posted a six-win improvement in his second season. Southern Miss finished 9-5 overall, won the West Division of Conference USA with a 7-1 mark and made an appearance in the Heart of Dallas Bowl in 2015.

Prior to his tenure at Southern Miss, the Hammond, La., native spent two seasons as Southeastern Louisiana’s defensive coordinator. In his final year in 2013, the Lions won a program-record 11 contests, including a perfect 7-0 mark in Southland Conference play en route to their first league title since 1961. Southeastern Louisiana advanced to the quarterfinals of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs in its first-ever appearance and his defense led the Southland in both total and scoring defense.

Golding served as defensive coordinator from 2010-11 at his alma mater, Delta State. A former All-Gulf South Conference defensive back, he also coached the team’s secondary.

The Statesmen advanced to the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championship Game after winning their third Gulf South Conference title in four years with an 11-4 overall record.

That came on the heels of a stint as defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Tusculum.

The Pioneers became an explosive and record-setting defensive unit under his direction. In 2007, Tusculum intercepted a program-record 14 passes and produced conference-leading marks in sacks and forced turnovers en route to an appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs.

Golding has tutored six All-Americans during his 10-year coaching career, including 2012 FCS Defensive Player of the Year and 2013 second-round National Football League draft pick Robert Alford, who was a cornerback under Golding during his senior season. Meanwhile, 18 players at Delta State were named to the All-Gulf South Conference and All-South Region teams during his tenure, while six Tusculum defenders received All-South Atlantic Conference accolades.

He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Delta State in 2006 after being a four-year starter at safety for the Statesmen from 2002-05.

Golding graduated in 2005 from Delta State with a degree in business. He and his wife, Carolyn, are the parents of two sons, Braxton and Bentley.

I am not in love with McGriff.. Hell, we've given up 100 and what the last two games??

We can fire everybody and it would be fine with me... AD included.

Go back and start from the mud!!

Why would you fire Bjork? He has had nothing to do with this crap. He didn't hire Freeze. The only person that deserves blame for where we are is Hugh Freeze and he isn't getting any blame. People actually wish he came back smh

Bjork make the perfect hire with Mike Smith as the softball coach. We have a national brand in that sport now. I have confidence he will make the best hire if the good ol boys get out the way and let him do his damn job.

Personally I would throw the kitchen sink at Gary Patterson. He'd have to tell me no 20 times.

I'd do the same with every big name coach we can get on the phone. Not having Hughs buyout will hopefully give us some spending power that is too good to pass up for someone. Start throwing big numbers at everyone.

Bjork got raped by the NCAA in multiple sports and had no PR campaign to speak of. Do you really think he has done a good job in the last few years?

Looking up current salaries

Gary Patterson - $4.75 Million
Mike Leach - $3.0 Million
Scott Frost - $1.7 Million
Charlie Strong - $1 mil from USF and $5.2 from Texas for this year and next
Neal Brown - $850,000
Frank Wilson - $ 600,000

Don't think money is going to be an issue for anyone honestly. 2 year vs 1 year bowl ban is what is going to determine who we can hire.

For those defending Ross I think that was the biggest tactical error in this whole ordeal. Since we went ahead and offered up the 1 year ban, now in order to look tough they have to give us a second year. Had we not done that they could've given us a 1 year ban as an additional punishment and appeased the masses wanting us dead. Whatever punishment we gave ourselves was never going to be enough, so we basically forced the NCAA's hand into giving us a second year ban or risk looking weak.

Also Ross hired the womens ball coach who got the ncaa on campus in the first place as his first hire.

One thing we should also consider we might be able to afford to pay a higher salary than Arkansas (if they open up) because they have to account for Bert's 15.4 million dollar buyout.

(I did not include other SEC programs that might open up like A&M or Tennessee because we aren't hiring from the same pool of candidates)

Why would anyone consider Charlie Strong? How can you succeed at Ole Miss if you can't at Texas?
