I think it's oddly appropriate that our best assistant coaching hire in years leaves just before he has a chance to make any sort of actual positive contribution.

If we are willing to pay up for good coaches and recruiters. Go after Zach Smith, offer co-oc/wr coach and pay him 300k or so. He is making like 160 at Ohio state and is one of their best recruiters.

Because Lubbick is/was a must-keep and better suited for the OC position and whatever pay that he desires. Longo is a charity hire and a gamble.
