I can't say that Brown is the better prospect. He gained 95% of his yards off of screen passes. He lacks a route tree and technique. Abraham failed to get D. K. The ball. My brother grew up playing with both. Abraham is terrible under pressure and when he gets hit. He has been that way since Pee Wee. D. K. Is better in terms of route running and is a jump ball specialist, but lacks physicality at times. Both are good prospects with some faults that need work in order to be elite at the next level.

Uhhh yeah. The thing is you can't go with just that game to say AJ or DK is the best. I pretty much knew Oxford was going to get prison raped. The team is a bunch of pussies. You hit them square in the jaw and they fold like a cheap suit. Starkville is a very physical team and always has been. AJ did look dominate but like sports said it was 95% screen passes.

Having anything negative to say after that performance is just dumb.

Dude I am not saying anything negative about his performance. What I am saying it is 1 game and I will wait to anoint anyone the best. One team played dominate football and another folded like they usually do....and have done for years. I want AJ as a Reb along with DK but having watched both players for 3 years I can say that if you traded teams would AJ have had the same game....not likely because Oxford can't handle physical teams.

Most need not to worry much about the performance of either. It's one game in MS high football. Arguably some of the worst organized HS football in America. Projection to the college game bears far more than actual game play. In Camps, when DK has had competent QB play, he has thoroughly dominated some of the best DBs in the nation. AJ has been to some of the same camps and not done as well against higher level DBs who are physical with him.

DK needs to get Faster. He has trouble separating. He really excels in the redzone where his physical advantages rreally play.

Eta: At least according to the analysts.

DK has a bulky look about him- he could probably put on more weight and be a dynamic TE if he wanted to.

But he definitely didn't look like he had as much juice last night as Brown, albeit his team was kind of a clown show compared to Starkville.

Oxford's starting running back and second best wide receiver were kicked off the team due to being arrested for theft.....the defense lacks athletes but losing those two players has sunk their season.

I have no idea what game these guys were watching. Brown was the better of the two and it wasn't close. DK plays soft. He has the size and skills, he just isn't aggressive. Playcalling was horrible.

Guys talking about route tree...most MS WRs aren't running many routes in HS.

Are you saying this sarcastically ? DK has proven to be plenty physical in Elite camps against Elite DBs from all over the Southeast... That's why his offer sheet looks the way it does even though he has been an OM lock since he was in diapers... After seeing Oxford's QB in action it pretty much makes Metcalf's senior game stats null and void for me... Who did Coach Hill blow to get that Abraham kid a committable Tulane offer ? I know it's Tulane, but they're still a D1 school located in a talent rich state.

Abraham is a good QB and will be a viable starter with some "seasoning" at the next level. I have been saying that Oxford is a notoriously soft team that folds against physical opponents. Just look at them against the likes of WP, Starkville or even Laurel last year. It's not a knock against them just "is was it is".

The question still is would AJ have had the same stats if he had been on Oxford's team Saturday night.....me thinks not.

After reading my earlier post again I was definitey being too hard on the guy... I hope he succeeds as a student and a QB at Tulane... Now that I've watched the game again, Starkville absolutely dominated Oxford's Oline on almost every play.
