Look, our Chancellor is the brother of the most corrupt politician in Louisiana. Louisiana! the most corrupt state in the union.

Vitter is a moron and I don't trust him for one second. He is an absolute puppet of the IHL since he was born without a brain.

He makes Doctor Jones look like a million bucks.

No Colors, you do realize, don't you, that the NCAA cleared our coaches on the Tunsil Opportunity Fund, which is approved by the NCAA.

Cut the crap.

You say that, but we only have 14 seniors on scholarship and only about 8 of those are in the 2 deep.

Even with limited scholarships, if the Rebels do well this year and the NCAA closes this case, recruiting could pick back up just that quick.

Where we will be hurting is after 2018, IF 2018 goes as well as it could, you would see a huge exodus of players to the NFL.

Patterson
AJ Brown
DK Metcalf
Jefferson
Little
Benito Jones

Worse case scenario, is we end up with a two year bowl ban, which will kill recruiting for another year. Plus some players could decide to leave. None did this year, but there may be a few that would seek opportunities elsewhere if it were for 2 years.

2018 will be the best chance to compete for the SEC title
after that it will be another rebuilding start up, like before.

So, if you don't think Ole Miss can contend in 2018, why would any coach come here? Because after that recruiting class is gone, now the talent does drop off. I think the scholarship reduction ends after 2019. So you don't get a full recruiting class until 2020 and by then you have pretty much either found out you can or can't recruit at Ole Miss. It's way too risky for anyone to take on.

There are 27 Sophomores on scholarship right now, red shirting helped to get to that point. If they all stuck around for the 2019 You could see them being competitive enough. But the depth would be horrible unless 2017 and 2018 are great seasons and the recruiting picks up.

I see CHF to be able to ride out a 2 year bowl ban. Another coach coming in would struggle in recruiting start up, so he would lose another year or 2.

Who could come in with a two year bowl ban and crack the top 50 in recruiting his first 2 years?

I believe CHF could do that. I don't see anyone else doing a better job of rebuilding at Ole Miss.

So why get rid of him. He won with very little talent from day one. He would do it again.

A 2 year bowl ban could cripple this program. I think at that point quite a few players would look to transfer out, similar to what happened at Penn St when they got their 4 year bowl ban.

You do realize, don't you, that the NCAA wrote up our coaches, including Hugh Freeze, for something like 12 LEVEL ONE violations? And the best part is, MOST OF THESE occurred after we knew we were already under investigation......

If we get a two year bowl ban, most of the important players will transfer.

If Hugh Freeze gets a Show Cause, he's gone.

He works for the Chancellor. And the Chancellor is a dorky Stanford PhD computer sciences geek. You really think he's going to bat for a bass fishing, country music chasing, amateur Baptist minister football coach from Panola County?

Grow up, son.

Agree completely, and I'd fire him too if we get the two year bowl ban. With a 4 million a year SEC gig for 4 years it won't be as hard to find an up and comer as others think

While I agree with you that we should keep freeze. Ole miss has struggled to hold on to its coaches over the last 40 years not because of Ole miss being a basement SEC job but because of that Confederate flag and all the negative connotations it comes with. Plain and simple people couldn't recruit with that shite around and the ones who could were like I could do some awesome shite somewhere else.

I like the strong, silent Christian types who walk the walk and let others do the talking. CHF doesn't make the cut in either category.

I generally agree with you in regards to what I "prefer". Partially because I am more spiritual than religious because unfortunately I have personally seen people who wear religion on their coat sleeves do some really pathetic things.

However, but knowing several people that know CHF from his youth, they all say he is genuine. Yes, I think he needs to tone it down but he is who he is and who are we to judge?

The people who pay his salary. That's who we are. And, yes, we are the ones who judge.

Well then contact the AD. Because until he says "tone it down" CHF doesn't have to do shite.

Agree completely. I vote with my feet, and my wallet.

My guess is that we're looking at a min of 4-5 years before we have another winning conference record. That's regardless of who our coach is. So, I wouldn't put too much stock in the "He Wins" narrative.

He has beaten Alabama twice, had 3 first round draft picks and won a Sugar Bowl.

He wins.
