I was at the game, so I don't have the benefit of what was said on air.

Sawyer gave up that long TD pass and immediately fell to the ground holding his groin. Was that Losers Limp or was he really hurt?

I was surprised to see Bird in the game. Why rush him back? And of course I think that was him that took the cheap shot on the sideline. Couldn't tell if he came back in after that or not. Anyone hear anything?

I also saw MM shaken up on a play, and couldn't tell if he came back in after that.

In other news, Youngblood made a couple of good plays, presssured the QB a couple of times, etc. Do we have a position for him? Certainly not DE? Could he maybe play LB? Or is he just a special teams guy and a career backup?

In related news, I don't remember seeing Brishen Mathews the entire game, which surprised me. Maybe he was in and I didn't notice? I left with two more series in the game. Drive back to Jackson with three small kids and all....

Thanks for the input from you guys who know 10x more than I do about all this.

I'm not sure. By the 2nd quarter I couldn't see any more due to my eyes filling up with blood from boredom. Glad to finally have a game like that though...

You mean like the second quarter where Idaho put together something like a 10 play 75-yard drive for a touchdown, which they bookended by sending us to two straight three and outs? That wasn't boring to me. That was some undersized kids from nowhere punching us in the mouth, and us having to spit out a tooth and hit them back. I thought that was good stuff.

Freeze said Sawyer injury as far as he knew wasn't serious.

Bird wasn't rushed back, he didn't play has week when he was ready and wanted to play.

Youngblood isn't fast enough to play LB. He has given the staff confidence that he can be a career backup as well as special teams. He isn't as athletically given, hence why he was a walkon to begin with.

Brishen Matthews hasn't been the same since he laid that serious hit on the sideline in the Arkansas game(I wanna say) in like 2011. He always is hurt.

Thanks. I couldn't remember what game it was. I knew it was a couple years ago. He delivered a killer blow. I don't think he's been the same player every since.
