^ This. Hell with my close group of friends we easily have 100 to 200 calls in a month. In regards to text messages I can't even fathom how many are exchanged.

Wilson looks like on the bouncers that worked at the Library when I was in school.

He'll get his opportunity soon enough. I would be happy with that hire.

ETA: Pay him in the $3M range and give him a strong assistant pool.

I haven't kept up with anything sine the end of last season basically, can someone give a cliffnotes on the latest when it comes to the coaching search and options (also, is it a 1 year bowl ban or are we still waiting on more news?)

LOL, man you really haven't kept up with anything have you. We don't know anything yet about a coach, more of a bowl ban, nothing. All anybody knows for sure is we dang sure better beat South Alabama Saturday, and it really needs to be in runaway fashion.

One name that hasn't been mentioned in this thread but one that Neal has really been floating recently is Jeremy Pruitt. What kind of opinions do y'all have on him?

He's a hell of a recruiter and he probably knows every high school coach in the state of Alabama.

We are going to pay someone at least $4 million to take the job. Is Jeremy worth $4 mill right now?

Don't know, but I would take Brohm if it was realistic.

I'm slowly coming to the realization that we won't be able to get Jeff Brohm. He can take pretty much any job that will be open this cycle.

Brohm was hired after Bjork had already left. Bjork hired Willie Taggart.

I would really honestly like to just hire Freeze back. That stuff was personal and between him, his wife, and God. I'd like to see what he could do without Luke weighing him down on the O line and with the NCAA crap behind us. Honestly, what they found was a bunch of nothing that was blown out of proportion.

As crazy as this sounds, I kind of like it.

There are a lot of worse coaches that we could hire. The questions still remain, however. Every single thing he did would be heavily scrutinized and he still just doesn't have a large enough network to go out and hire a great staff.

He was a good recruiter man, but honestly, we need a real pedigreed coach.

Pruitt sucks. We don't need another Coach O. Only way we can be successful is getting an offensive guy.

Why are you comparing Pruitt to O

Why not a defensive guru (Saban, Tuberville)?

I think the right route is a defensive guy and a great o coordinator.
