Thankfully, there is only one idiot named Houston Nutt.

MacIntyre makes $3.1 million once his extension kicks in next year. Plus, he was disciplined for not reporting that one of his assistants was beating up his girlfriend. Sorry, we don't need more bad publicity.

This is only from people talking, that know people inside and no true source. But Wilson and Satterfield are two that's been brought up the most, but as it pains me to hear or say, is Luke does have a good shot.

I don't like it one bit, and hoping he's being told this only to keep the players there or somewhat motivated.

No reason he should be the coach. Can't even coach a line. Just have a feeling, just inside, we will be stuck with him throughout this crap for a couple of years.

I have the same suspicion as well.

What makes me even more angry though is that there are good ole boy donors who would love to make that happen. Did they not like the taste of winning?

It's the mentality that they have that needs to be gone. Not gonna get us anywhere. Got to find a way to hit reset and start over completely.

Satterfield

He's near the top of my want list.

Only potential concern is that since App St. is where he played in college, he may not be willing to leave

Throw 4.5 million at him and he'll leave.

We're already looking for a new coach when the one we have hasn't even coached a game yet.

Yea that would be the hangup I think with him, but like the other guy said he may like the money. And yea we're looking for a coach. It may not be put out in the open much, but Luke is like a band aid. But if everyone doesn't pull together then the band aid may not get ripped off and the wound never fully heals.

It won't be Luke, according to Bjork's answers on Head to Head.

Freeze was the 10th highest paid coach.

Bjork said he was pleasantly surprised at the caliber of names already placed before him.

We are looking for a coach to get us in the Top 10.

I trust Bjork to make the right call.

Wilson is the best guy for the job. Without question a top 5 recruiter. Would instantly win the state of MS recruiting and 2019 may be the best year MS has seen in a decade. He also helps the image instantly by showing OM is diverse and has moved forward and just wants to win.

Luke has no chance unless he goes 10+ wins or there is a 2-year bowl ban. Bjork is not a GOB cuck.

1-year bowl ban - I would suspect Frank Wilson is at or near the top of the list. He checks a lot of boxes. Don't think we'd need to pay him over $4M either.

For that to happen last names would have to be: Gruden, Manning, Belicheck, Dungy.

I just listened to the Talk of Champions from the other day when Ben Garrett interviewed Dan Wolken and Dan brought up a name seemingly out of left field: Mike Bloomgren (OC at Stanford).

That's a really interesting and surprising name. While I would like someone with current head coaching experience I wouldn't be opposed to Mike Bloomgren. He seems like a really smart guy who always has efficient, fundamentally sound, creative offenses.

He certainly has a better resume right now that Freeze did when we hired him.

Yea I'm with you on not having a shot. I was feeling like we will be stuck with him a couple of years. Like until we can see daylight again. Which may not be a bad thing. I don't want him coaching period ha. We still do have some old time boosters who would want him though. But no way he stays.

I have to admit, I'm a little mystified as to how Freeze could have thought it OK to call a booster over 200 times on a school issued phone.

It's rather baffling how stupid Hugh's mistakes with that phone are

The man certainly hasn't perfected the art of subterfuge. Of course if they are/were golfing buddies, and we all know Freeze likes to play golf, then there may just be nothing here. At this point, the "other side" assumes the worst every single time and who can blame them honestly. If there's nothing that can be proven, it's just more bad press, not that that was needed.
