Walton's run yesterday has to be on the short list. 92 yards, reverse direction, two broken tackles, and in the Egg Bowl.

It got me thinking about where that run stands in history. I remember a great one from Buford Mcgee (sp?) when I was a kid. And maybe one of Dexter's against Tennessee was pretty spectacular. And I guess Deuce had some great ones but nothing in particular comes to mind.

What other great ones can you remember and where do they rank?

Yep. That one definitely has to be on the list. That was a defining moment in the Freeze era. The run itself wasn't that spectacular -- he just beat them to the edge and rolled -- but it was critical to us having a good year last year.

That was the 3rd longest TD run in program history. So it ranks pretty high.

My favorite comment along those lines was the Late Great Jack Cristil after the 2008 Egg Bowl: "And the Sonic Drive In Drive of the Game: That would be my drive home to Tupelo tonight." That guy was awesome.
