While this thread is named" Good news to cheer us up" so I thought this was the best place to put my good news. Thanks to God and all the prayers and all the court appearances, yesterday I got full and sole custody of my 4 year old daughter! I knew it was going to be hard for the father to get the child especially in Mississippi, but, Thank God I don't have to worry anymore.

Thanks brother and I'm praying for you. That was brought up in my case and I just told my lawyer to forget it. I don't want any of her money. I knew that I wouldn't see it anyway but also just wanted my daughter to be able to know and understand later in life that her dad is the one who has always been there and provided all her wants and needs.
But you certainly have all the rights to get support from her. I just didn't want to go through the hassle and was so overjoyed when she just basically signed her over.

I did put a clause in there that I can call at anytime during the month I want to and make her go take a drug test right then. I can do that randomly for up to a year. I put that in there because at first I was only going to do supervised visits but I ended up giving her Tuesday and Wednesday nights. So before long I'm not gonna have to worry about any visits when I randomly call one month. And no, I'm not trying to just keep my daughter from her mom. This is honestly in my daughters best interest. Heck even before I decided to take it to court she would stay with me for at least a month and go over there for maybe one or two days and back to me for another month or two.

Appreciate that man. Yea it definitely is harder on the father trying to get the child. Good thing for me is mine is young and never had to go to court to witness all the crap that came out about her mom. And another thing that worked for me was, she,my ex,and if you seen her you would think she was an OT 7 with no issues except for being the best liar, was so dumb and strung out that she forgot while we were together she gave me her FB password and never changed it. So for over two years I had every drug deal she would do through messenger on there and screen shot all of them. I had over 300 screen shots and emails.

I worked offshore for years and was in Saudi Arabia when I finally found out where all my money was going. I came straight home and bounced around different jobs around here until the other day I was offered a Maintenance Supervisor job here in my hometown. It couldn't have came at a better time.
