To sum up the above, it all depends on how well the rest of the coaches can keep our guys together and how open they are to staying together. The time is now.

Coach how does it feel to be the best offensive line coach south of memphis and north of pontotoc to ever be promoted to interim head coach at one of the better football schools in mississipi?

Lol feels good

Honestly I think Luke will do fine.

The hope is the NCAA doesn't rub it in. Freeze is gone. This program is in shambles. At some point you'd think they just feel sorry for us and just accept the self imposed penalties.

I mean really at this point, what are you really accomplishing by adding a two year bowl ban? Making it even harder to hire the next coach?

AJ, Greg and Shae are playing for a pro contract in 2 years. They will stay.

If we get an extra bowl ban I would be surprised if they stay.

If there's a two year ban, who could we hire to convince studs that Ole Miss will still get them a worthy draft position? If there's no chance of a postseason, the '17 & '18 seasons won't get them the attention they thought they'd be getting when they committed. Blue bloods would be lining up to get those dudes, and an extra year in college capable of launching them back into the first three rounds is a multimillion dollar gamble that would probably pay off if Ole Miss bumbles the hire. I don't know why Shea would stay if we hire a QB killer like Les (won't happen, just an example), and I'm not sure if receivers would want to be here without Shea, etc.

Neal said on the podcast tonight that he thinks the way this played out shows that there are people at ole miss that have wanted Hugh gone since draft night 2016. Can't say I disagree with it.

Coach, I was hoping Crime Dog would get the top post. At least he was named runner-up.

This season depends on two people, both new -- Longo and Crime Dog.

The only thing I don't get was giving Freeze the fourth year on his contract. Ole Miss doesn't fire Freeze if they had to pay his buyout. Ole Miss didn't have to go through Freeze's phone records but did it anyway. I think they know firing Freeze could help with the NCAA case and allows Ole Miss to reset the program.

Because someone has to try and fly the fricking plane. I have zero confidence in Jeff Vitter who has already hurt our basketball program when he didn't extend AK but extended freakin Freeze.

Bjork's gone once things settle down a bit don't you think? I can imagine it'll be kinda mutual. Bjork's overseen some great triumphs regardless of the investigation (opening the Pavilion can't be stressed enough), a sloppy NCAA investigation, and a sex scandal. It's a mixed bag to say the least.

It bothers me that he was in Memphis and Jackson, his two biggest bases, with Freeze in the past week and he knew this was coming. It's the biggest bombshell in program history. We need to overhaul the department and build something closer to what we thought we already had. We should also probably try to get back in Randy's good graces too while we're at it

The Nutt lawsuit was filed on 7/12. Our attorney notified the next day that a phone number looked sleazy. How did Nutt attorney already look over the 39000 numbers (I am told) that CHF had sent or received?

The NCAA case will decide Bjork's job. If we only get a one year bowl ban Bjork will still have his job.
