There was a time we didn't have that rep. The Freeze regime has significantly changed that. Especially near major hubs in the south where our young alumni live. It's kind of cool to see that transformation in the stands as much as it has changed on the field.

We seem to but so does every other SEC school except Vanderbilt

Florida doesn't really travel well and neither does MSU.

We've always traveled well, well before Freeze came

For the size of our school/fanbase I can't think of another school that travels better.

I think a lot of it is related to how spread out our alumni base is, and more importantly how much the average OM fan likes to party.

I agree. I used to go to all away games and we always seemed to fill up our section. It's was always a myth that we don't travel well.

You could argue that we've brought more folks to the Cotton Bowls than whatever Big12 team we've played, and they're a lot closer to Dallas than we are. We routinely bring 30k to bowl games

It's not that we haven't traveled well in the past. It's just that we've never had a place to travel to.

I hear your point but honestly cannot think of any bowl game where we did not attend well.

I agree. Hell, we had nearly 40k at the damn Birmingham Bowl

Ole Miss has a football-crazy, starved for winning and recognition, affluent fanbase that loves to spend money on trips.

As long as Ole Miss is good, fans will travel. The only hinderance is the fanbase is smaller than your average SEC power. Ole Miss will get more sidewalk fans as time goes on, tho.

If Numberwang had access to tRebal Rant he'd shite a brick at your assertion that our fanbase is affluent.

Apparently, it's all a figment of our imagination and we're actually rather poor.
