I don't usually bet on sports a lot, I'm more of a table player, but I'll be in Vegas this weekend and I'm sure I'll end up betting some games. Looking at the lines, it seems to be a pretty terrible weekend to pick games
What do some of our more accomplished sports gamblers think?

We need Serraneux from the UT board to come over here and post. That guy has been killing it this year.

Yeah I jumped on him after week one when all his projections were spot on.

You could always just play a bunch of prop bets like which team scores first, is the first score a TD or field goal, who wins the coin toss, etc. That way you keep the action moving instead of waiting on the conclusion of a 4 hour game. Those also have a higher degree of randomness so you don't need a lot of in-depth knowledge.

I may throw some of that in, but I am looking for stuff to actually watch during the day so I don't just sit at a table the whole day. I am not saying I have no clue as far as sports gambling goes, but this week is a pretty rough lineup

It really is. I've had a strong start fading preseason media darlings like Auburn, Arky, and UT, but don't have a good feel for any one game this weekend.

I will probably continue fading Auburn because of the internal issues. Other than that I'll look at games where one team is playing consecutive road games and go against them, like State at A&M, Arky at UT, and Vandy at MTSU.

Honestly I'd be smart to take a pass on the whole thing, but addiction doesn't work like that

Also, here's a good resource if you don't follow them already LINK

you like middle tenn over Vandy

is this because of the respectable game against Alabama?
or because vandy played us hard?

i had some trouble assessing this game personally.
wasnt sure if vandy turned a corner defensively or not

That line opened at MTSU -3.5. The public has pounded that all the way down to a pick just by what happened in an obvious let down spot last week in Oxford. Vegas is just begging for more Vanderbilt action. Back to back road games going against a good Blue Raider team, this play is a no-brainer

If Georgia is still -2 against Bama, bet your life savings on Alabama.

Well maybe not life savings, but a lot of money.

Yup! I think we may be going to some show, I'll check. But give me a buzz, we can try and hang out if it works out

I wouldn't bet on either but I would lean towards the two road dogs. Mississippi State's defense is one of the better units in the conference and you would think Dak will keep them in every game. If it's still at 7 I would suggest buying the hook to get the line above a key number.

Alabama is in a very good spot this weekend. I'm still not sold on Greyson Lambert. I would imagine they load the box to stop the run and force Lambert into making mistakes. This is a game Richt loses 9 out of 10 times. Alabama moneyline to get even odds or possibly +105
