I looked at the video of A.J. signing at Starkville High. When asked if he was excited to join Shea, he answered that Chad Kelly is the man. His answer tells me to watch for the Kelly-Brown connection this fall.

I look for A.J. to go after Quon's record as a freshman. Now I've go to look up the stats.

I'd love for him to, and in the right situation, he definitely could/would. But let's be real, he isn't walking into the same situation as treadwell. AJ is joining the best group of receivers in the league and possibly the country.

Quon had 72 rec for 608 yards his freshman season

AJ could be the best freshman WR in the nation physically but I don't think there is any way he has the opportunity for close to 72 receptions. Quincy, Stringfellow, Pack, Engram, Lodge, Jefferson, etc are going to demand the ball too

Our WRs/ TEs had approximately 300 receptions last year. That number will probably be pretty similar this year and AJ won't take a 1/4 of those receptions

We may not have anybody with over 60 receptions

Too many sets of hands for Brown to get the chance IMO

No way he can get that many touches IMO. He would have to beat out Van for the slot position and according to everyone Van is already the best slot Freeze has had. Just don't think he has the length or speed to play the outside and that's even harder to get snaps because of String, Quincy, Lodge, and Jones

Brown should probably take a RS. Him and Metcalf. He won't, but he should.

I think AJ is the most college ready WR of the 2016 class. But as mentioned, we are far deeper at WR Than we were in 2013. I think this will be Lodge's year

I think there is less than a 10 percent chance AJ is in Oxford for a 5th year.

Stringfellow was really coming into his own toward the end of last year, and he is a huge target. I think he has a breakout year. Engram can't be denied as a regular target. SEC Veteran that's as good as any WR. Pack has a lot of experience now. There's just so many options...Lodge, Jefferson...Will be interesting to see if any 1 in particular really emerges.

Who is gonna be our bubble screen guy?

And no chance AJ takes a redshirt and I don't think he should because like someone else said he won't be in Oxford for 5 years.

You don't simply just play him because he won't be there 5 years. If it's going to be a complete waste of a year like Lodge was last year what is the point? Why not spend the year getting stronger? I think he is a elite talent, but who is he beating out?

Stringfellow will step into the role Quon had with those bubble screens.

I think it will be Lodge. Stringfellow needs to be blocking on those.

He will be with the second group for sure

1. String, Van, Quincy
2. AJ, Pack, Lodge

Or swap Lodge and Van and move Pack to the outside

I think Pack will find it hard to get some playing time.

I don't see AJ being able to get enough touches this year.

The receiving corps is a lot deeper now, than when Treadwell came in to the offense.

1) Stringfellow, Pack, Adeboyejo
2) D. Jones, Jefferson, Lodge
3) Metcalf, AJ Brown, Nixon

I think this is how the depth chart will start the season. Who ends up getting the starts at the end of the season will depend on who is getting it done. With the competition this group of 9 will be going through each practice there could be some surprises.

Derek Jones could be the player that feels like he has to put it together this season, he's a senior and needs to have a good year if he wants to play more football.

AJ could push hard for equal time in the slot this year and take an outside spot next year as a starter.

It will be interesting to say the least, to see who is starting at the end of the year.
