We weren't getting Cam to begin with...
But if we get Longo as OC, we will most definitely not get Cam

I'll reiterate though...
Cam is not coming to Ole Miss

Longo as OC will hurt recruiting overall unless / until he proves he can be successful.

If it really is Longo, I'm expecting a lot of growing pains next season, and another disappointing season

If it is Longbo I expect Freeze will be fired the next season. I think he has two years to show improvement and if that doesn't happen he gone.

If CHF hires that guy after absolutely shiting the bed on national TV last night then Bjork needs to can him now!

Yeah, pick the one bad game to look at as opposed to the 7 others where he scored 50+.

The one game he was arguably coaching for a SEC job? The one game where things went wrong early and he couldn't turn it around. The one game on prime time? The pressure was on, and he failed

He wasn't coaching for a job. If he's being announced next week, he was already hired.

In your opinion, why do you think he can immediately come in and be successful in the SEC?

It's not sexy by any means, but it's definitely not a safe, "yes man" type hire IMO. You're bringing in a dude who has absolutely lit the scoreboard up against similarly talented competition. Prior to the game last night, their lowest point total was 38 and they scored 50+ in 7 of 12 games. They're very balanced which is something that Ole Miss has lacked the last few years. Oklahoma State made a very similar hire in 2014, taking an OC from Shippensburg Univ. who has been very successful for them. When you consider the possible sanctions and issues surrounding the program, this is probably about as good of a hire as you could have hoped for.

My bigger fear is that Hugh won't get out of his way, moreso than he isn't qualified for the job.

True, if freeze doesn't get out of his way it won't matter. And yes, Yurcich has been successful at oklahoma state. Still though, taking a coach like this is always risky. Especially coming off such a disappointing season

We're going to get mocked for a diamond like this, but I'm pretty excited about him joining the class.
