Know everyone is focused on the regional this week, but I was curious if anyone has good insight on how the draft will impact this team going forward? I'm assuming from our current roster we will lose Woodman, Robinson, Lartigue, Bortles, and probably Short. I see Bramlett and Blackman as wildcards. Blackman will be drafted pretty high but he is only a soph so he can improve his stock, especially if he can move to shortstop. With Bramlett I am not sure he really has the stuff to have much MLB potential, so he could be drafted low enough for him to come back. The high school group is interesting. I'm assuming Cooper Johnson will never set foot on campus as he's projected by some to be the 1st or 2nd high school catcher taken, but does anyone have any info on the others? Dillard, Kessinger, and Rolison could all be drafted pretty high. Really excited about this incoming class so hoping to get most of them on campus. Hoping this isn't like the year we saw Ceccini, Trahan, and Ty Hensley all have their draft stock shoot up and never make it to Ole Miss.

Don't forget about Jason Barber. Doubt he gets drafted high enough to leave. His older brother is my pledge brother, went to watch Oxford twice. He's a stud.

Blackman will never be a SS. Not enough range, not good enough with the leather, and not a strong enough arm.

Jb woodman could go from 70-77( last pic tonight) or first picks tomorrow 3 rd round.

Keep An eye on.

Thomas Dillard and Errol less likely but possible

With the 16th pick (57th overall) in the 2nd round of the 2016 @MLB Draft, the @BlueJays select J.B. Woodman!

From last night, congrats to JB he is a beast. How are we looking on the high school player front? Were any expected to be gone at this point?

That would be huge. We have not had a legit ace since Chris Ellis and Rolison could be that guy his soph year. Think I read where Rolison will be eligible for the draft as a soph so we'll more than likely just have him for 2 years but that's better than none. Cooper Johnson has not been drafted yet so I'm wondering if his bonus demands are not going to be met. The slot allotment beginning in the 7th round is $234,000. Obviously teams can pay over slot, but that's not the kind of money I'm sure him, Kessinger, or Dillard would need to go pro. You make garbage in the minors so that signing bonus really needs to last you for 4-5 years. And that's if you make it to the majors by the time you are 23. Some of them might still go pro, but I feel a lot better about getting them to campus now than I did yesterday.

It's looking good for us to keep Cooper Johnson, Kessinger, Rolison, and Dillard...that would be quite the coup.

This is looking like it will be the best class we have ever gotten to campus. Rolison, Dillard, and Kessinger have confirmed they're coming. I think Cooper Johnson will make it to campus as well!

I'm oblivious to baseball recruiting so what positions are these guys? I'm assuming these are all the dudes from Oxford

Cooper Johnson is a catcher. Not OHS, not sure where atm. One of the highest rated catchers in HS. There was virtually 0% chance he came to Ole Miss.

Thomas Dillard - Catcher OHS

Grae Kessinger - SS OHS

Ryan Rolison - P Jackson
