Conyers

We can't depend on Conyers either way. He won't be an every-down player this year.

I know someone who watches practices. Absolutely not.

Rawlings to C. Then Little at LT Givens at RT backups Liggins, Puttman and Buyers. But really Mathews is who I hope steps up and can be a real contributor.

We'll be solid with:

Little : Patterson : Rawlings : Sims : Givens

Rod rotating in at G... LT if needed
Conyers rotating in at C and RT
Liggins & Bouldin with mop up duties

Sims won't start over Rod

I will say that I watched Myles Hartfield highlight tape and he looked really good. If Freeze is that high on him he might make a push on to the field. The secondary has a few questions but it could turn out to be pretty solid.

Isn't Derrick Jones a corner who we moved to WR? Isn't it time to move him back? We have like 8 big time WRs and we are desperately thin at corner. Can someone explain this to me?

Kid doesn't want to play corner... He made strides in the offseason at wideout but then when the season came he didn't perform. He also almost got jaylen killed on a swing pass

So, he would rather ride the bench at wideout than get significant PT at corner where we need him?

That's not exactly "buying in".

He could make more money at corner too in the league...guys his size with his speed at CB are a dime a dozen.

Did Ryan officially quit football? I know it was rumored.

He's a frat star and loves Ole Miss. So I doubt he ever leaves.

He will if the the difference in their dedication/work ethic remains the same. I really hope Rod comes back after recovering from surgery with the all in mindset. Sims is already there. You may be right, but Rod's got some work to do to earn that spot back.

Rawlings isn't starting over Conyers either. I think Rawlings will be the utility guy that can play anything. Matthews is the guy to look out for.

How ready Givens is to play is going to be a huge factor in our line.

Also really wish Mathews was a EE but we will see how quick he can pick it up.

Awesome write up! Thanks for putting it all together.

Reading this though, I'm pretty worried about the defensive backfield.

If sims is starting over Rod Taylor when the season comes I will write you a check for 1000 dollars. It's not happening. Rod has NFL talent.

Deal! By the way, I never said he won't start because of lack of talent.
