I'm pretty pleased the media has ignored it. They only go places to promote and show violence and bad stories to help ratings.
The only thing that was happening in Louisiana was people helping each other. All week, I've heard of 8 people being arrested in a single looting incident, and I heard an unsubstantiated report of an attempted boat jacking in one of the shittier zip codes.
Louisiana has done quite alright without mass media's help, and I would like them to frick off forever.

Did Obama sign whatever he needed to sign to give LA aid? That's all I care about. If he did, then by all means, continue his vacation. I'd prefer presidents to stay away from disaster areas until well after things have started to clear up. A president actually being on site would do more harm than good.

I'm only mad at the media, because more coverage means more dollars floating in.

It is the hypocrisy that bugs me. Bush was labeled as terrible and uncaring because he didn't go to LA. If that is going to be the rule, Obama should not get a pass for doing the same thing but he is and we all know why.

Obama not going- I don't see how Trump or the President or Hillary going down there really helps anything. Send aid. Send relief. But I still have no idea why people want politicians to go down there so bad. All they do is snap a few pictures, give some phony speech and move on.
