"Original chloe dancer by mother love bone is better"
Much better. I'd also think most people who know anything about PJ or grunge know who mother love bone is and have definitely heard chloe dancer. But the general populous, sure I can buy that most people haven't heard it.

Grunge as we know it came through Green River, Mother Love Bone and ended up in Pearl Jam.

How do we determine if it is a song nobody has ever really heard of?
I have this on a couple of playlists and someone seems to always make a positive comment when they hear it.
Brian Eno - On Some Faraway Beach

I thought I was the only one on here who throws on the Leon Redbone Christmas Island every December. Glad to know there is another.
