I've been lucky as usually never got hurt/injured. The worst I've had was ruptured meniscus that caused draining later.

The second worst was a micro tear of Achilles. That one still bugs me at times. The angle board is my friend still.

Sad part was both were playing softball in summers during college.

Minor meniscus tear (left knee) in college while playing basketball. Was on crutches for a couple weeks, but avoided surgery because I was trying not to get DQ'd from ROTC. Bad move. That knee gives me problems now

Torn left patella playing basketball in 8th grade. No using my leg for 7 months. Luckily didn't need surgery. Rehab sucked so hard.

Did they have to drain it? How much swelling did you have?

The draining was the worst damn thing I've endured. I let our orthopedic surgeon do it in training room.

When I got hurt both times it was my ex GF who was the SAT working the softball park. Her expert opinion was, you're being a baby just ice it and I'll look at it when we go home.

A good amount, but didn't have to get it drained, thankfully. I've heard stories about that shite and know I dodged a bullet.

Got lucky that it was a "clean" partial tear. Doc still recommended surgery, but I decided against it like I said.

Crushed larynx. Hit a fence while tracking a ball in a softball tourney. Died (the next day).

Held onto it for the third out, though. And my team won the tournament. So there's that.

Not sure if it counts but I'm still laid up from surgery to remove tumors in my foot that the doc believes was caused by running.

Tore my pectoral blowing up a guy on a kickoff in JV. Pretty much ended my football career.

Not sport related but I got a hairline fracture on my ankle falling out of Aerosmith's rockin' roller coaster and pretty much ran above average JV speeds my senior year of track.

Last one was that I tore all the ligaments in my the thumb playing flag football. I could bend it all the way back and touch my wrist. Still can't bend my thumb all the way anymore.

Broken collarbone playing football. Coach still had me do conditioning at the end because he thought it was a stinger.

Had one of those sprained ankles my Jr year of basketball that the doctor said would've been better off as a break. Sucked.

Broken nose in a basketball game. Finished the game with a tampon in my nose and got it re broken the next day. Caught a small elbow next practice and wanted to cry.

Broken finger breaking up a pass playing football. Didn't hurt all that bad and was such an annoying injury because I couldn't take a snap or throw but still played safety.

I was very lucky to never have a major injury and thankful after watching both my brothers after acl/mcl/etc surgery.

Playing baseball, dove for a ball and thumb caught the ground, rest of my body kept moving. Tore the muscle in my hand, broke my thumb, messed up my hand. Needed 2 surgeries, had a pin to hold the bone together to heal, and I still have a screw in my hand.

Did you get tossed? I got tossed when I hurt my Achilles. The ump thought I was calling him the names I was saying. I was so pissed because I left 2nd on a tag and I yell you fricking bastard then launched into a tirade on 2nd step.

Tore my MCL in my left leg twice. The kicker was they happened the exact same week in back-to-back years.

No I was in the OF... it hurt like hell but I stayed and continued. After my AB the next inning I couldn't hold the bat and swung with only 1 arm I was pulled. My hand swelled up to the size of a softball and turned purple quickly. I didn't even go to the doctor until my mom saw how purple it was 3 days later.

Twice torn acl, tore a good chunk of my medial meniscus the second time, for good measure.

Fractured my scaphoid twice. Tiny bone, but it's a long recovery.

I'm a lot like you in that sense. I still hate Butterfield Elementary in Fayetteville because I got my nose broken there in a 6th grade basketball game.
