Worse smell you ever encountered?

Mine : had to be inside of as port -o-let for the lsu/Florida game in 07. It was a hot/humid day and was a mix of vomit and the most rotten badussy I ever smelt. 2nd and 3rd : bama /lsu 09 followed by Bourbon st on a late season Mardi gras Monday following Bacchus. What's yours?

I threw up the first time I smelled a paper mill when I was six or seven. Remember it like it was yesterday.
I have a pretty strong stomach these days though.

There's 2 and I am not sure which was worse...
1. Doing a necropsy on a horse that died b/c like 15 feet of its bowel had become strangulated by a tumor. Its body sat out in the pasture in the middle of hot Alabama summer for 3 days before we cut it open for necropys.
2. Took a cat in on emergency. It was an indoor/outdoor cat. It came in with maggots crawling out of its arse and around its leg where it had open, rotting wound full of puss. This thing had been sleeping IN THE BED with the owner!

Ruined raw shrimp that had been left in the back of a walk in cooler for about 3 months at a hotel restaurant where I worked in college. That's the only time in my life I've literally thrown up from an odor. Imagine animal decomposition mixed with sewer and seafood. Unbelievably horrible.

thats pretty bad,, used to spend months at a time at the Cameron Inn,,, sometimes the wind would push the smell under the door on hot S wind days,,,
burned bodies are the worst though, imo

went fishing out of Venice a couple years ago. Buddy had gone fishing about 10 days before and thought he cleaned his bait locker out but had left two bonita in there. The boat was dry stored in a garage where the the fish just baked in 120+ degree heat. We picked the fish up with gafs and they basically just fell apart I will never forget it. We spent an hour cleaning the boat out and the ride out to the gulf was still bad. I was gagging non-stop.

a spoiled cadaver i came across in college once. wasn't a science major.
Other one that came to mind was when i had real bad earwax buildup in HS. doctor gave me drops and said it will break down and come out. Just flush it with a syringe. I asked how would i know when to flush it and he laughed and said i'd know. few nights later after treating i had a terrible ear ache. I stuck my finger in and was met with what felt like a poop booger. i looked at it amazed.... And threw up everywhere because of the smell. I spent the next hour flushing the ear, throwing up, cleaning the throw up off the sink, flushing and throwing up some more and crying in the fetal position in the shower afterwards.
Most putrid thing i've ever smelled.
