I do not recall doing that ... but you are welcome to quote me if I did.

Social decline in this country began in 1896ish ... it was fought off until Millennials grew to voting age.

The 60s is where it began to come to fruition - the inevitable if you will. Correct me if I am wrong but the 60s gave birth to the Millennial generation.

And, of course, this is not applicable to the entire generation. Yet, it does seem to apply to a great majority, for the first time in any American generation, among the one labeled "Millennials."

I assumed that

meant as much.

It was not fought off at all. Each generation, in political terms, has marched ever Leftwards. What we enjoy today is simply the victory of liberalism in the Western world - but fear not, as its own internal contradictions will surely cause it to collapse in ridiculous holiness spirals.

Millenials as a generation start around 1980-85 and end about 2000 or so, if I recall correctly. '60-'80 is Generation X.

The 70's definitely existed for me. Dope was not a part of it for me. I watched friends ruin their lives with that crap. I don't need any other education on why pot isn't bad. I lived it, and watched more than a few smart young men become complete idiots. And they all, 100%, became "if you'd try it you'd get it" morons. No thank you.

You didn't watch anyone ruin their life from smoking some '70s dirt weed. For God's sake.

Hey dont forget we could drink at 18. Was awesome. Lived in a time when classic rock was what was on the radio. Concerts were awesome.

Not sure where you got this idea about a ready made job. We interviewed for work and understood you had to work to get paid.
frick this generation who think Rap is music and piss on each other about whose lives matter. Go back to your safe spaces ya pussies.

Hmmm. Maybe a little of both. My parents where high school graduates. Both had really solid union type jobs for most of their lives at a paper mill. When that shut down they found employment in county government--which also had great benefits.

I would never have done as well without a college degree. So the prior generation did have an easier go of it. They worked in a post world war II manufacturing environment that was unrivaled by the rest of the decimated world.

Now, kids face globalization and competition where there was none before.

I'm Gen X by the way. I don't have a dog in this fight. I went to school and college and made good grades and have managed to stay employed the entire time.

But I do think it's getting progressively more difficult.

And, yes, the boomers had it made, relatively speaking, compared to the generations before (depression/WWII) and after. Probably the "peak lifestyle" generation--and track the national debt that has racked up under boomer leadership--it's not a good look.

I'm a goddam liberal that beleives taxes should go up for everybody - spending cut 10% across the board until this debt is brought under control. Hate it for my kids and grandkids that they have to pay for our fricking wars and useless politicians.

The 60s, the fricking nuts from the sixties ... they gave birth to the Millennial Generation. I was a flat top, crew cut sixties guy myself who had little time nor patience for my fellow students who were anti-war activists, dirty, flower power LSD dropping hippies ... that's what we called them then and the entire country was in an uproar back then because of them.

But all of is gave birth to Millennials .... all three of my girls are Millennials, my son is not.

To the contrary, I probably get out more than most Millennials quite honestly.

All joking aside ... the studies and stats prove I'm correct. Millennials and their issues are no secret ... they, a majority of them, are a well known fricked-up generation.

It's fact ... don't fight it bruh. Be glad you're one of the good ones. I've got three incredibly successful daughters, especially for their ages, all three now in their 30s, two of them married and have given me grandbabies ... I'm proud of them, but even they regularly admit that their generation has some major issues.

That has a lot to do with it no doubt.

But also, TV, the Internet, the education system, Hollywood ... it was the perfect storm for your generation.

I'm not denigrating y'all, I'm not. You know who your friends are that are just worthless ... and it's not really the early Millennials born in the 80s ... it's those coming of age now, the 20-25 year olds, many just a year or two out of college. The MSNBC disciples.

This is very true. There's been a lot of discussion about that generational cohort, but it seems the date may be a bit arbitrary. The first several millennial years share more of a common generational experience with the younger half of Gen X than they do with younger millennials.

It always will begin and end with the parents.

The wars of the past costs us alot more than anyone could predict. It cost the deaths of a lot of the stronger human gene pool. The hippies, draftdodgers, and cowards in general were left behind to breed and repopulate. Over time the sheer volume of that has overtaken our society and we have essentially, what we have now. Parents who were too concerned with themselves and not raising up good strong, ethical, and moral children have lead way for those children to raise up and have children under similar or more dire circumstances.

It's to the point were I myself am labeled as a strict parent in my children's friends eyes because they have chores, they lose their privileges when they screw up, they can't run off without supervision to the movies and parties and what not. I would love to see these kids spend a week at my mother and grandmothers house like a grew up, lol

Amen and Amen.

Everyone complained that I was too strict ... even my ex-wife. But now we are always complimented on how polite, intelligent, hard working and successful our kids are ... my Son, by my second wife, is famous for his honesty, work ethic and manners around here.

But we have friends who raised their kids differently and they are living nightmares right now. Spoiled their kids, gave them everything, ... they are in a real mess with both their Sons. New problems every week.

It definitely begins and ends with the parents.

The gene pool thing ... I dunno, I guess that might play into it to some degree. Women are inherently more liberal than men, especially than alpha males, so that's probably got more to do with it than anything.

It's affectionately referred to as the pussification of America by the soccer moms ... and the wars and stress and the fact that men die earlier than women have caused their to be more women voters than men in this and the last election. Single parent homes, more women raising the kids ... it's epidemic.

Millennials are in no way to blame for all of the ills of this country right now. And I do believe things will hit rock bottom and then swing back the other way eventually.

I believe you are correct. I see it in my own daughters who are in their mid to late teens. They are respectful and intelligent. They both work part-time jobs and understand they're going to have to continue to work for the things that they want in life. For the most part, through the conversations I have with them, I believe they see through the lies of the progressive far left and don't buy into it. With that said, they haven't been run through the standard four year indoctrination system of a public university yet either. My fingers are crossed.......
