How did Boomers ruin the most powerful country on Earth into the ground?

I've seen this posted before, this isn't the first I've read this quip, but I've never read it explained.

Why do people hate Baby Boomers?

I'm gen-X by the way, and I can assure you we are twice as worthless as our parents.

Maybe the issue is a little bit more complex than a product of generational differences, eh?

Perhaps looking at what I have to say rather than my username would help alleviate your concerns.

I think you would be very, very surprised on where we find common ground, but do as you will.

You really need to brush up on your U.S. History young man. Not what you were taught by your indoctrinates ... but actually try learning something, on your own, using your own will.

BTW ... I'll toke the best ganja known to man bowl for bowl with you and, if your circuitry is not too burned-out to comprehend the error of your ways ... I'd give it two nights max around a good campfire to show you the way to a level of truth and enlightenment you'd never dreamed of up until that moment when I said the magic words.

I do get a kick out of you kids who think you've got all the answers though. We used to have a name for that which I am sure would offend you if I used it now ... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for the time being.

I know you don't post on the poliboard, rooster, but I think you may have the wrong impression of me. Do not think for a moment that my proclivity to substance abuse in any way diminished my traditional Southern upbringing or instruction.

Oh ... it is, it definitely is.

But where this country lost it is definitely with the Millennials. The rest of us fought it off since the late 19th Century .... Millennials just laid down and fell for it hook, line and sinker. Not all mind you but a great majority it would appear.

I've got three daughters who are Millennials ... I saw it happen, how and why.

Edited "kind" to "mind"

Ie Frankfurt school/cultural marxism totally permeated the university (primary and secondary, too, let's be honest) system and those without any outside influence have no other alternative way to view the world.

I wouldn't dare ... that would be hypocritical of me.

We both yada yada'd without being exacting - but then again, we're not writing an essay. Sometimes, I prefer being a smartass over actually going into great detail.

Ascribing societal decline to a generation is a fool's game. It is members of respective generations, their ideas, and their influence is what really counts. The seeds of decay were sown before you were born, unless you're much older than I think. Personally, I blame Hitler for kicking out all the Bolsheviks or their sympathizers and FDR for gladly accepting frickers like Theodor Adorno into our ivory towers.

The 70's definitely existed for me. Dope was not a part of it for me. I watched friends ruin their lives with that crap. I don't need any other education on why pot isn't bad. I lived it, and watched more than a few smart young men become complete idiots. And they all, 100%, became "if you'd try it you'd get it" morons. No thank you.
