Almost heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River.
Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze.
Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.
West Virginia, mountain mamma, take me home, country roads.

They'd fit in with those heathens in Kentucky and Missouri, wouldn't they? Moreso than some damned Aggies and their like.

Because they don't. They were part of the Union during the Civil War. SEC schools can't be from northern states

Naw they wasn't. You need to learn up on your history, baw. They was border states who never took a side.
Might I suggest some reading on Wikipedia LINK or you could provide me with some links that says you're right.

And might I add that the majority of Virginians would laugh at you if you called them confederates.

Northern Virginia isn't Virginia.

Exactly. Them's are brethern to the north. I have family up there and they're good folks. I wish my own Dawg family could get by the way that they do.

West Virginia formed because they didn't agree with the rest of Virginia joining the confederacy.

Whelp, besides lovin' me some John Denver (man in glasses...mmmmm) and especially his song Country Roads, they beat the frick outta clemson like they were a red headed step child.
I think they'd be a perfect fit.
Easy win, too.
It's a win-win for err'body involved.

I could see West Virginia and Kentucky being big, natural rivals. Of course, I wish we could go back in time and convince Notre Dame to join the Big East then Penn State would be where they belong: with Pitt, Syracuse, WVU and Notre Dame

Have you ever attended a game in Morgantown? If not, you'd change your mind if you did.
