Just interesting to hear people describe who helped mold their life and why.

Not trying to make it spiritual or agnostic debate so I hope it doesn't go too far off the tracks but the 5 people or things I credit

My Grandpa, my mom, Jesus, St Augustine of Hippo, and my Jr High Football Head Coach

Dad & Mom: Laid the ground work for who I would become.
Maw & Paw (Grandparents): Two of the best people I've ever known.
My previous Design Director: The coolest guy I've ever known. A really good friend/boss who provided a ton of guidance and knowledge when it came to business, design, or life.
4th Year Design Studio Professor: He pushed me hard in my last year of undergrad and made me a better professional because of it.

Me. I make my choices for my reasons and enjoy the credit of my hard work.

b/c God. period. #1

“Those who assert that the mathematical sciences say nothing of the beautiful or the good are in error. For these sciences say and prove a great deal about them; if they do not expressly mention them, but prove attributes which are their results or definitions, it is not true that they tell us nothing about them. The chief forms of beauty are order and symmetry and definiteness, which the mathematical sciences demonstrate in a special degree.”

Also Dad and Grandpa - Nothing in life is given,. You want it, go earn it. You are the only person responsible for who you are, where you are going and the blessing or problems you have.

I would probably point to Stacked, V&S, and dbeck as the biggest influences in my life.

My grandparents: I'm probably so old fashioned because I spent so much time with them.

My dad: I'm probably exactly like him.

Jesus: I've changed so much since becoming a Christian.

My ex-wife: She has made me question my sanity, afraid of relationships, and given me trust issues.

So far it's been myself and I wish I had put others before me. My selfish arse wasn't fit for the job.

My uncle who had sickle cell and never could hold a real job but read probably 5,000 books in his life and made me read early on anything I could get my hands on

a girl, because she is locaqlly famous I won't name drop, who used to be my bestest friend on earth (really i just wanted to bone lol) who had the balls to tell me I wasn't good enough to date her and while I was a nice guy she could do better. She's a local news reporter in little rock now. That was what, 12-14 years ago. She made me realize I couldn't demand things from someone else that I didn't demand from myself.

This dude named Kevin that worked with me at Best Buy when I was a PC tech. Made me feel that hey it's okay to be a black nerd lol you don't have to pretend to be something you aren't.

Wendy who because of NA last name I won't reveal who willed my arse to sobriety when I didn't wanna listen. She taught me how to forgive myself.
[

James Polk the former president. He's my kinda guy. frick all the headlines, frick all the glamour. I'm going to come here, I'm going to do exactly this, and i'm gonna get the frick out. that's how i live my life.

My lil brother.
And my 8th grade Language teacher.
My mom because she showed me what true strength is.
My brother because he made me always strive to do and make the right choices with my life.
And mrs aggbert helped me with opening up and releasing all of the anger I have for people. (In a healthy way) lol

My Parents My dad adopted me when i was 3 and made me his son when he didnt have too. Not to sound to dramatic but its a big deal to me but if he hadnt came around i would have grown up without a father , i dont think i would been as bad as some kids are without a father because of the way my mom is , but my dad has done everything for me and sacrificed so much i couldnt ever thank him enough 2 My mom because shes the rock of my life shes my everything. Shes the strongest woman ive ever known and has done so much for me .
