SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — A man was arrested after he was caught on surveillance camera having sex with a family's pet donkey, according to an incident report.

The family called police at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, July 16, saying a man was trespassing on their property and having sex with one of the pet donkeys.

The family had been talking with police for the past month, and officers had been running extra patrols in the area over similar allegations. The family had posted signs that read "No Trespassing and No Feeding the Donkeys," and had also set up a security camera to figure out who was on the property.

When the officer arrived on scene that Sunday morning, he found Everett Compton, age 49, hiding in some bushes on the back of the property, according to the report. Compton told the officer he was just taking a walk.

Compton told the officer he had fed the donkeys some carrots. When the officer asked Compton if he had been having sex with any donkeys that night, he answered "No."

The officer then told Compton there were surveillance cameras located around the property, and that he planned to look at the footage. Compton told the officer he smokes a lot of marijuana, which makes him do "sick things." He promised the officer that he would get help if he were not charged with having sex with the donkey, according to the report.

The officer placed Compton under arrest. The incident report says a review of the surveillance footage appeared to show Compton having "some type of sexual interaction" with a donkey in the video.
