what is one thing that you want to do, but haven't done, either because you just haven't taken the time or gotten the nerve up to do?

Raft Aniakchak Caldera. Less than 100 ppl get there in a year because of the weather. It's about a six mile diameter caldera in the Alaska Peninsula, there's a lake in the crater and it pours out through the wall of the caldera. It flows 26 miles to sea. It's a gauntlet of brown bears all the way to tidewater.

I've been weathered out twice trying to get there.

Do it. You can do a tandem for about $200 bucks and you will NOT regret it.

1st time:

2nd time with my own parachute and by myself:

3rd time:

You bet your arse, soon as I'm healed up enough.

You could use a river kayak, it would beat the shite out of it though. Paddles rarely survive the river. There are fish downstream when you get closer to tidewater.

Everyone used to fly in, but with the proliferation of packrafts, you can hike in carrying a packraft and float out with that.

Nothing I haven't got the nerve for, few things I want to do are see more of the world, make a pass in a sub 5 second car, been in the low 6's, and take the time to ride thru the west and enjoy it.

I can get you as close as you're comfortable. Got an island full of them a few miles away, got some pretty good pix myself.
