What's the deal with booger eating?

I've picked boogers, hell, we all have. But what's with the people that eat their boogers? That thought has never crossed my mind to eat it. Does anyone here do it or know someone who does? You see a lot of football players doing it.

I dont recall seeing a football player do it. I did it a bit while I was little as fug. I vagely remember. I have no reasoning for why. It tasted pretty good I suppose.

Even as a child I never understood why people ate boogers.
I remember being around 4 years old and asking my friend why he did it. I don't really remember his answer (I do remember he gave a rundown on the different types) but I vividly remember trying one after and thinking it was fricking disgusting.

Stopped at a redlight today and looked over at the truck in the lane next to me.
