Looking to get one or a set don't want to break my bank as I'm trying to be fiscally responsible for once.

Klipsch are for kids. You want real sound go the DIY route. Just finished a set of Fusion 8 fronts (under $400 bucks)(DIY Soundgroup). I've been hearing music for over 50 years now with these Fusion 8's, I can finally listen to music.

I have a Samsung sound bar in the mancave. Don't remember how much I paid for it, but it wasn't expensive. Great sound.

I have a Phillips sound bar and sub. I think it was under $100 and has served me well.

We have a sound bar in our bedroom and it's okay for hearing the tv, basically a step up from the tv's speakers. My guess is the OP is looking for something more akin to critical listening. The Klipsch mentioned are okay and a reputable name brand - but dollar for dollar - nothing beats the DIY route. At least nothing I've heard. I have way to many speakers (it's a disease ). Replaced my JBL monitors with B&W's, overpriced but great sound - but just recently built a set of the Fusion 8's and can honestly say they are head and shoulders above the JBL's and the B&W's. A simple two way design with a very high efficiency rating (93). For 1/3 the price of the B&W's and much sweeter, less fatiguing sound, the DIY route is the only way to go. (IMO)

Every sound bar sounds about the same to me, and I have friends with entry level ones and high end ones. The high end ones sound awesome when turned way up and watching an action flick, but for just everyday TV viewing, the cheaper ones are fine.
I have a refurbished Samsung one I got on some website for $75. It works and sounds fine. I like the sound better when I run it through my old Pioneer receiver and Advent speakers though.

I fricking hate my Onkyo. I don't feel like replacing it just yet because it still works. Sometimes my PlayStation signal will cut out. I also lost the remote so that sucks when I need to switch inputs.

I have a Denon 7.2 that I really like a lot. Plus their customer service is really good. It got hit by lightening and they fixed it for just the cost of shipping.

I personally like the way Polk speakers sound (I have two 5.1 sets of their high-end RTi speakers), but my honest advice is go to a store and listen to some difference speakers. We can't tell you what your ear will like.

Step up to a Denon or Marantz. Nice and clean. The Marantz SR6010 was my latest (atmos and dts:x) plus has audyssey xt32.
