Just turned 21, and wanted to get opinions on what is the best beer to get. I've tried coors, budweiser, most of the cheap high school/college party beers, what are some good high quality beers to buy? Thanks guys!

As far as relatively cheap beers go (which I assume is what you're looking for), Yuengling is pretty good if you prefer darker beers

A little hard to find, but if you do stubble across it, don't pass it up.

Don't know if they're available in Louisiana, but Real Ale out of Blanco, TX makes some good beer.
Fireman's 4 blonde ale is legit.

A good start is to buy Sam Adams variety packs. See what type of beers you like, then move on from there to the craft beers

In response to yuengling, me and my girlfriend are friends with a girl that only drinks yuengling. I'll definitely have to try it

Darker beers? Isn't traditional yuengling a lager?

But seriously, just start trying anything you haven't had before. You'll find stuff you like. Stores that have make your own 6 pack are a good start. Go to a nice bar that has a ton of taps and just pick something. They usually let you taste a shot's worth. If you like it, buy a pint.

If you don't like something, oh well. You're just short $4.
