I woke up and fed the kids. I started playing Mark Knopfler's "Lone Cool Girl" on the kitchen Bose speakers.

My 4 year old and 18 month old came over and grabbed my hand to dance. My 4 year old did twirls while my 18 month old did her best to mimic my 4 year old's dance moves.

Lots of laughter.

My eyes are watery just thinking about how great it was to simply dance with my kids this morning.

I hope these moments continue throughout a long and healthy life.

Thanks! Actually this will be my second retirement. I took a company buy out in 1999 @ age 51. I was off a year with no one to play with, so I went to work for our school district. 15 years later I'm ready to dedicate all time to my 5 grandbabies, also locating a 1941-1945 Willys Jeep to restomod.

Fun Times ahead.

My kids are now 17 and 12, but I've got a lot of these type memories with them.
Best thing about my morning is it's half gone and it's Friday.

My boss called and said everybody else is working from home today (I work from home every day anyways) and that its spring break for schools and we only work with schools Tech Departments it's worthless. Take the day.

No complaints here.

Interesting. I've been casually looking for 1940s Willys Jeep. I'm surprised by how affordable a decent perfectly running Willys Jeep is. I'm finding them all over the internet for $4,000 - $5,000 and I had a Willys Jeep enthusiast tell me that I shouldn't have an issue finding a good Willys for around that price.

I thought they would be far more.
